What specific eras were Justice and Namorita from?
I’m willing to be corrected here, but to my memory that Nita is from the start of Civil War, and that Vance is from the Initiative era. I remember him wearing that costume while he was an instructor at Camp Hammond.
What specific eras were Justice and Namorita from?
Namorita is circa 2005-2007. The only real significance is that this was her look in the opening of Civil War when the New Warriors tried to arrest Nitro on their reality show.
Justice is circa 2014-2015 and possibly beyond.
A week later I still have this whole wave on display, and I even pulled out the rest of the Squadron and all the New Warriors we've got so far (can't remember the last time a wave convinced to track down entire teams). Okay almost none of the New Warriors are the versions I want on display, but I just love the whole team so I'm psyched to finally have this many. The shelf looks like the New Warriors five year class reunion. "Hey man, nice suit, how's the Avengers treating you? Yeah, there was that whole Annihilation thing, that was pretty bad... Oh hey Angelica! How's Krakoa this time of year?"
Namorita is from the Skottie Young reality show mini series, Vol. 3 right before Civil War. Justice is an Avengers Initiative eraish that he wore through New Warriors vol. 5 and still does in his rare appearances.
Thanks, everyone!
Really unfortunate that they’re so modern they don’t fit at all with the early ‘90s New Warriors. I was hoping they were at least from toward the end of the original series even if the characters only wore them a few issues.
Very annoying. I’m assuming we’re getting some sort of New Warriors multi-pack with the versions everyone wants and some repaints of like Speedball and Nightthrasher.
Who's everyone? Namorita and Justice being these versions are the only reason I bought them.
If they do some sort of early/original New Warriors multipack, I want Speedball on the Amazing Fantasy body and they've got to include some expressive hands this time.
Hoping there is another Firestar on the way soon too - either her jacketed 90s/Maximum Carnage look, or even better the one she wore shortly after joining the Avengers.
I wish these modern versions meant we'd also see some other obscure Civil War/Initiative era characters. The one-a-day thread featured a lot of them recently - I'd love to at least get Gauntlet and a few others.

I mean, I can't speak for everyone, but I would guess most people want the characters in costumes that at least vaguely fit with all of the other New Warriors released in the last three or so years.

I've never read any New Warriors issues, but I did read Civil War and the Initiative, so I'm happy to have these versions of Namorita and Justice. But I'd also happily buy them again to go with the New Warriors.
I'm a fan of the New Warriors, but probably a bigger fan of consistent displays. Having 2 of the original 6 in different costumes bugs me.
While this is one of the last versions of Namorita that I would have personally chosen at the outset, I can’t argue with the result. It’s a very striking figure.
It’s also a figure where I want to go to Hasbro and say “Here’s another five dollars. Fix the @!*# paint and hands!” 😛
She's a great figure design and sculpt-wise, but yeah...pink skin, blonde hair, and a green swimsuit and she'd be perfect. But honestly, if the revenue from this figure helps cost out sculpting a scale-suit body for her (and Marrina) later on, I'm okay with it.
As much as I want to fill in that NW display, I wouldn't display this Justice or Namorita with the '90s team. I'd fill them into my '00s display.
Are these going to be hitting retail stores? I'm just curious cause some of the waves were supposedly skipped or something.
