Power Princess is more than a repaint away, no? I'm by no means a Wonder Woman expert, but both the belt and chest crest look inaccurate to almost all her costumes.
I got in the figures I ordered from this wave. Basically half of the wave. Crystar, Vision, Justice, and Power Princess. I may get the rest if/when they get discounted, just to complete the BAF, although I really don't care about the Void. BP is the most tempting of the remaining figures.
I've only opened Crystar so far. The reveal of this figure was so amazing. I had some of the original line when it came out. The fact we've gotten an updated action figure from such a long-dead and niche property is just amazing to me. Fantastic figure. the fact so much of him (all except the hands maybe?) is new is outstanding. I do wonder if any other characters from the Crystar universe will make it into ML. Also hoping somebody like ROM finds his way into ML, although I understand he's a Hasbro property (at least, I think he is now). And also some Micronaut characters, some of which were created by Marvel and should be available (like Bug).
Right now, Crystar is high on my top ML figures for the year, although technically he's a 2024 release.

I was more meaning the face and build. The outfit would need work, alot more then just paint yea. But the face looks better then McFarlanes, alot closer to Diana. I'd get her just because she almost looks like WW if she got into BDSM lol. I have the Mattel DCUC Wonder Woman figures, so an actual WW, I do not need. But this figure hits alot of those notes.
I'm also not sure if this is other people's thoughts as to her popularity, but I like Wonder Woman more for her origin story, and her mythos. I really like Egyptian, Norse, Roman, and Greek Mythology. And she is basically thrown right into the middle of some of that. Made by Zeus, worships Hera, fights Ares, is a God herself for all intents and purposes. It's one reason Thor is one of my fave Marvel characters as well. His comic personality is lacking a bit. His MCU one (new movie aside) is better in that regard. But just from the stories and Mythos he's pulled from fascinates me. WW is the same. Her personality, at least in the comics and cartoons was better then her DCEU, and probably better then Thor, but everything shes mixed up with is what really gets me. God's and Monsters, immortals and super human warriors. I love all that lol. My favorite parts of the live action stuff are the scenes from Themyscera. And almost everything animated she is in is top notch, but the best ones by far are the ones that revolve around her fighting other gods. I'm a sucker for all that.
@trunks3540 what if WW got mixed up in BDSM? Have we got some news for you about WW, her creator and the first few years of her existence.
Got 6/7 of the figures today and I might have to revise my top ten list for 2023 (or just count them as 2024 since they're early?). Only had time to open a few but:
I know Vance and Namorita aren't in the costumes most of us wanted, but they knocked it out of the park with both. My Namorita's a little stuck around a few joints but I think some heat will fix that, but otherwise she's gorgeously rendered. And Justice looks superb in this costume. I really like how they did the cape even though it's not particularly moveable (stays in place without inhibiting ROM).
Power Princess is ridiculously cool. Best not-Wonder Woman in my collection. Face is fantastic, build is perfect. I can't get over that Hasbro basically made the Diana figure I've wanted for a decade. I'm a low-key Squadron fan, could've lived without Legends ever making them, but they put so much love into this team. Bravo.
Every wave since I started collecting Legends there's one guy I'm like "why did I buy this guy? I know nothing about him" who ends up being amazing and Crystar is that guy for me. Totally planned on skipping him but he's an AMAZING figure.
Is Namor just particularly toyetic? I find I've really liked every version of Namor Hasbro's done. This one's a little wonky - the gauntlets very clearly don't line up, one seems to be turned 25 degrees in the wrong direction - but he's otherwise really dynamic. Gotta read up on this version of him cos I like the design.
Saving Vision for tomorrow when Black Panther is also supposed to arrive. In the box though this is definitely the best face paint I've seen of Vision and I love that we've got butterfly joints (is this the first time? I can't recall).
I know it's supposed to be a 2024 wave, but this might be my favorite wave of this year. Really glad they arrived a few weeks early.

Opened up Vision and Black Panther. I'm convinced Black Panther is incredibly hard to NOT make cool as a figure. I have so many versions of him and they're all great, and this one really pops. The cape is a lil clunky (such a capes heavy wave, where is Edna Mode?) and the gold deco on his wrists definitely slides down easily but really a good looking figure overall.
I happen to have the more recent Vision on my desk for a side by side comparison, and I think this new one's an upgrade, but probably the least exciting of the wave. For some reason T'Challa looks/feels different enough that I felt like I needed the new look, but the changes weren't enough to wow me with Vision. That being said, if I'm a new collector and this is my first Vision? He's absolutely perfect, and just enough of an improvement to make it worth swapping out the last one.
This wave is so strange. Doesn't feel particularly thematic, just seven very interesting characters thrown into a set together, but these random colorful comics waves are my favorite every year. If not for the Midnight Suns wave it'd have very little competition for my favorite wave this year.

It’s all over the place. There is a very good biography about WM Marston. Called “The Secret History of Wonder Woman” I think. There’s a film as well. Here’s a quick article summarizing.
Also just googling Wonder Woman classic and bondage shows a plethora of images. Chains, ropes, bondage all essential parts of her early history.

I’ve been waiting for this one all year to really make my Bronze Age Avengers (that are mostly pinless) feel complete. He definitely fills out this team in a beautiful way. I thought the floating cape would be more annoying but it’s fine. I’m ignoring the poorly painted glove and boot tips. This is otherwise the build I’ve always thought Vision should have. His splash of green stands out among this team, and complements retro Wanda perfectly. I love this figure.
Didn’t take pics of Black Panther, the only other one I’ve received from Amazon (Justice is the only other one I ordered from Amazon and should be here tomorrow). BP is very regal, but will definitely be caught off guard because his cape completely blocks his peripheral vision. The bracers really should have been keyed into his glove tops, because they will never stay put. I’ve stretched them around the meatiest part of his forearms but I’m afraid they’ll get stressed. Otherwise, another winner.

They also made a movie about Marston called "Professor Marston and the Wonder Women" in 2017 that covers his creation of the character, his relationship with his wife and another woman that his wife consented to be in their relationship, and his affinity for BSDM.

@enigmaticclarity That's the name of the film. Couldn't remember. Its in my queue now for some time to watch.
It was in mine as well. I'm not sure if its still up there though. I'll have to go look for it again.
I don't see some of what they are saying about the BDSM in there. A few of them had some interesting closeness to it. But alot of it just looked like normal old school comic shenanigans.

I've never been clear on it either. I'm somewhat familiar with the trope of a damsel being bound up with ropes and tied to railroad tracks or any number of other obstacles by villains in early 20th century film serials that preceded the early Wonder Woman comics as is evident in the panel below, and repetition of that trope is how the bondage in 1930s and 1940s comics seemed to me. The kink aspect to it all seemed too tame for me to understand in this era where it's a far more explicit and extreme sub-culture than anything we ever saw in the early comics.
At the same time I've long heard of Marston's kinks, so it's certainly possible that is what he had in mind whenever he chose to bind Diana up in ropes.
Also, if anyone is interested, the Void head fits on the Walgreens Sentry figure, in case anyone wants to pop it on there as an alternative to building the full Build a Figure.
