I think I may end up getting Power Princess if I see her on sale just because it's Wonder Woman in Marvel Legends form lol. I could give a rats ass about SS, I don't even think I have any of the others. But Not Wonder Woman in Hasbros style looks really cool.

Yeah... for those of us old heads the Squadron Sinister was a way to see the Avengers and Justice League fight - so it was cool.

So very true. good sir.

So much fun.

Once, a very long time ago, in a magical little place called San Diego, I overheard a young fan ask Jack Kirby "Sir, what's on the other side of the Source Wall?"

And the King replied "The Marvel Universe."  A pause then, as everyone within ear shot stood with jaws agape.  "And if you continue on that journey" Jack continued "and go all the way across the Marvel Universe until you reach the end, you'll come to yet another source wall.  And on the other side of THAT wall?  You'll find me.  In my den.  Sitting at my drawing board.  Dreaming up new stories."

That was a lot to take in.

But if you think about it, it makes sense.  At the end of the day all these characters come from pretty much the same place.  A place of pure imagination.

"We are the music makers ... and we are the dreamers of dreams."

Amazon unexpectedly shipped my Namorita overnight for delivery today in NYC without any warning the delivery date was changing from early February to now. The problem is, I’m in Michigan the next week for the holidays. I was able to change the delivery address for the rest of the wave, and they’re all scheduled for Thursday or Friday this week.

Can’t do anything about Namorita, though. There’s no one to let him in my apartment building, so she will be undeliverable. Amazon won’t cancel the delivery, though. She’s also sold out through Amazon proper, too.

I got an Amazon shipment notification for Namorita, checked my order history and saw Justice is supposed to come today, Namorita on the 31st, and Power Princess in Feb. Strange.

I received Vision, Justice and Crystar yesterday from Star Action Figures. I like Crystar a lot more than I thought I would. Justice is very nice - great face and hair sculpts. I'm not sold on the bulky Vulkan body for Vision. Nice, classic head sculpt and the braided cape closure. The cape makes him look like Count Orlock with a perpetual shrug due to its design, but I understand it was to allow for arm movement. The thing that bugs me is why couldn't Hasbro paint the tops of his thighs yellow to match the rest of his trunks? They CAN do it. Both X-Men '97 Wolverine and Magneto have that and it looks so much better. Other than that - Happy Holidays, Fwooshers!

None of this wave has shipped but I did get a few shipping early notifications. I would LOVE to come home from a quick Christmas day road trip to see a few figures on the way, especially if they're the former New Warriors.

Someone on Reddit mentioned that Diana's face sculpt looks like Michael Jackson and I haven't been able to unsee it since. Still the best WW McF has put out, but yes, Power Princess looks more the part, especially with those icy blue eyes.

Just opened the whole wave. It’s always fun and refreshing to get a wave that is all comics, and also one that isn’t built around Spidey and/or Wolverine (not that I mind waves built around Spidey and Wolvie, mind you). All the figures are great fun, and the Void is crazy and looks like he would taste delicious, like black cherry flavor (I gave him a lick, and no such luck). My sentimental favorites are definitely the glorious classic Vision and the regal T’Challa, although the king’s gold bracers needed glue to keep them from dropping loosely to his wrists. All-in-all, a truly fun wave, although light on villains. These are the waves that keep me in Marvel Legends.

Just got shipping notification for the whole wave from Amazon, will be here Thursday. Merry Christmas to me! (T'Challa is shipping separately but nice to see they got most of the wave in one box, always feels bad to get six or seven small boxes for a single wave.)

That Power Princess/Diana comparison... I've slowed my buying of McFarlane DC stuff a lot this year but I did preorder Diana. Hate to say it but I like the Power Princess figure more. If I were motivated enough to do a repaint...

I was fortunate enough to receive the full wave from BBTS today (along with King Spawn and Gwildor/Orko). I'll list my thoughts below in the order of my least favorite to most favorite:

Namor: This is the one figure that I can honestly say that I only bought because of the BAF piece. However the sculpt is actually quite good. The gold gauntlets on the forearms and calves are well sculpted and detailed. I like the scaling on the green trunks and the black paint on the tights are a niche touch. The head sculpt is strong with long flowing locks of hair and an interesting facial hair combination. The pure white soulless eyes with shadow around them just aren't quite a fit for the character for me. I'm not familiar with this specific look from the comics but feels very villian-esque. I could definitely see myself swapping a different Namor head on this body and using this head for a different villain. Comes with 2 sets of alternate heads and his long staff weapon so decent amount of accessories. The wings on his feet seem comically small compared to the ones that came on Namorita. It's a nice figure but the one that I personally like the least of this wave and honestly didn't want/need. If it had been pinless and came with an alternate more classic head then I might have liked it more.

Justice: It's interesting to me that we got new figures of Vance Astro(vik) and Noh-Varr in the same year. Both characters have had Legends in the past in other costumes/identities. This costume is more likely relevant to me as a collector for his time with the New Warriors and Avengers than the Major Victory costume that I keep with my Guardians of the Galaxy. No pinless tech on this figure either. The face sculpt is well done and the blue and white classic colors come are offeset with just enough gold trim to make it interesting. Had this figure come out a few years ago I probably would have been more pleased with it but I think that my expectations have been raised a bit. I'm still happy to have him with my New Warriors in a corner of my Avengers display.

The Void Build-A-Figure: This Angel of Death figure feels like some kind of cross of a creature from Stranger Things and Larry the Lobster from SpongeBob on a very bad day. It's quite large for modern BAFs, but somehow still not quite as big as I envisioned. The translucent nature of the plastic with the black wash is quite something. It's a nice look even if I'm not quite as enthused by the yellow eyes and mouth as they feel just a bit off with the rest of the presentation, just a bit too bright and matte. I haven't really figured out how I want to display this beast within by collection yet. It's an interesting, but non-essential piece for me, I think. I can tell that the Legends team spent a lot of time and attention to detail on it though. I would be intrigued to see Steven Yeun pull off his this part of the Sentry on-screen in the MCU somehow.

Black Panther: Full disclosure that I decided to leave this figure mint in the package for now, so can't give a proper review. I was a big fan of the classic version that we got in the movie wave last year, so wasn't really looking for a new one. However this version is honestly more of what I think of when I think of T'Challa in that it's far more of a regal look for the character. Just very basic and beautiful. Will keep this one packaged and continue to display that early appearance version.

Vision: This is my new definitive version of Vision for my collection and I love most everything about it. My only complaint is probably that I don't really like how you can see the green where it should all be yellow on the boot and wrist cuts, but I'm nitpicking. I love how they used the pinless tech and how much better it looks than the elbow joints especially on the older versions. The face/head sculpt is amazing. This is a wonderful definitive rendition of an integral character for me. He doesn't rank higher within this group just because it's almost expected at this point and slightly disappointing that it took this long to get this good of a version of the character. I'm also ranking the next 3 higher because it's their first time being represented in the line and are fantastic without multiple attempts even if they're not as important of a character.

Crystar: Such a unique entry. I'm so happy to get this guy in the line as it's not someone that I ever would have expected to have been made. This is just basic nostalgia in a very modern figure. The translucent blue offset by the matte red just takes me back to the 1980s. I don't have much else to say other than this figure is exactly what you'd want it to be, no more and no less.

Power Princess: LOL, simply put this is the best Wonder Woman figure that I've ever had! The face/head/hair sculpt are flawless and I love how the black and gold complement each other on this costume. I'm not crazy about the torso articulation and feel like she should have had a waist swivel, but it's a beautiful action figure and I'm happy to complete that iteration of the Squadron Supreme, although I might still kitbash a proper comic Coulson to put with them. I'm very pleased with the execution on this with that small exception of wishing they had done something a little bit different with the torso articulation.

Namorita: Another beautiful female figure! Hasbro has been knocking these out of the park recently! I know that this isn't the New Warriors version that a lot of folks wanted but this figure is special. The powder blue skin tone with the wind/water swept hair is a beautiful combinatin The bright red paired with the white on her costume make her stand out on a shelf. This figure is just slightly out of my Top 10 figures of the year, and easily my favorite figure in this particular wave.

This wave was a pretty good way to end the year. It wasn't my favorite of the year (that was the Ch'od wave for me, personally) - but still very solid. I absolutely love 3 of the figures and really like 4 of the others. Even the one that I'm annoyed at having to buy just for the BAF part (Namor) has some good things going for it. Overall, I'm very happy with what Hasbro gave us in 2023.

I don't get the McFarlane figures because they scale bigger. I didn't wanna have to rebuild everything in another scale from DC, especially when I'm running out of room as it is. But oddly enough PP does look more like WW then WW does in that pic. Just one more reason to get her lol.

Can anyone with Namorita take a pic comparison of her next to a Power Ranger Lightning collection female figure? I need to compare head size mainly, cause I may wanna use her for a custom PR figure, if the head isn't huge.
