And that Avengers Loki design is semi-relevant with each 'previously on' that plays before an episode of his show, heh.
That Black Widow looks so much better than even her solo movie version. I was on the fence about these but I'm glad I ordered that.
Sorry if this has been posted already.Â
the photographer has done an awesome job but just seeing this outdated body is disappointing, it’s definitely better than the original release but I would have preferred hasbro release a civil war or solo film widow with new hairsculpts & double jointed arms & they could have done this figure again when they had enough budget to sculpt a brand new figure.Â
yeah, those shots make it look like a great figure. In hand I was less impressed because the arms are *quite* skinny (a similar issue as the Elizabeth Olsen figures have) -- I do wonder why they reverted to that Winter Soldier figure body considering how many improvements they made not only with ML in general, but in particular with Black Widow on the Civil War version that was essentially the "default" Black Widow costume they'd used in all film except AoU when she had a pop of color.
The face printing is nice, but I'm not sure it looks any more ScarJo that their previous releases with CW, Endgame or the BW solo movie. I wonder if they will ever tackle the Iron Man 2 Widow since her costume & hair were quite different than what they settled on in the MCU & she never got a Legends figure, even the 3.75" had very limited (or did it just leak?) release
Â
@tetragene There was never a Civil War Black Widow Marvel Legends. Are you talking about Infinity War?
@spiderxvenom ah, you are right not sure how I mixed those up -- IW was the release with the vest overlay & blonde hair, it was the one that had the better proportions overall. Her feet could also balance her better than the tiny WS feet they re-used
Yep, that IW body was a massive improvement. If nothing else, the holsters on the WS figure kinda limit the poses unless you want it to look like she's in the middle of busting them loose in the middle of a fight or something.Â
Pulse has moved the ship date for my order of these up to 11/21.
Think the only one of these I'm interested in is Banner. It'll be nice to have a figure that finally looks like Ruffalo, unlike whoever the old Banner figure was. Just can't pull the trigger on him at full price since he doesn't come with anything. But if anyone gets him, pleast post lots of pretty pictures!
I think my personal favorite Widow is the Endgame kitbash I made with IW Widow and the Endgame 2 pack Widow head. Just cut the vest off, popped the braided hair on, and bam. It's not perfect, of course- I'm sure there's plenty of nits to pick, but I was never as big a stickler about small costume inaccuracies and all that, just as long as it looks more or less like the character. Plus I was proud of myself, because that's about as close to customizing a figure as I'll probably ever get. 🤣Â
@sepster Oh damn... I keep vacillating about one or two of the ones I ordered so I better decide!

Yeah, that IW body is kinda versatile and definitely their best Widow body. I am STILL surprised Hasbro hasn't done what you did beyond the limited Best Of release.
But you should absolutely be proud of that. I'm not a great customizer either, but I'll definitely try with kitbashes. And I've gotten more into idealized versions of these characters than 'exactly like the version in that particular movie'. Makes it easier to not get bent out of shape when Hasbro gets 'close enough' too.

I had initially ordered all 8, but then after seeing pic reviews on Marvelousnews, I decided the photo real head sculpts aren't enough for me to bite on Spider-Man, Thor, or Iron Man MK46 right now. And War Machine is out too, considering there is no discernable difference between this and his original release.
Banner, Cap, Natasha, and Iron Man MKII make the cut because between new parts, paint and the ability to filter these figures into multiple movie displays means I can justify finding a home for them.
Â
I am sticking with Thor just because I never got the previous Dark World one and feel he's an improvement over the AOU figure, otherwise I just have Natasha and Steve ordered. And Steve is the big one I question just because it's the same skinny-armed body from before and maybe I wanna hold out for a First Avenger or Smithsonian figure. And Natasha I'm really just getting for the WS head as a friend wants to buy the body and Avengers head from me.
As of right now, i am getting Iron Man mk 2, Banner, and Widow only. I may grab Cap later once prices drop.
Just received Banner and MK II from Pulse. Mixed bag.
Banner is pretty nice. The face print is excellent, and finally does Ruffalo some justice. The body is the SAME OLD SUIT BODY they've used for so many years, though he has new pinless arms. I thought I'd be replacing the 4pk Banner in my Age of Ultron display, but this looks better as an Infinity War version, as intended. Kinda want to add a Wong to that IW display now.
MK II has flaws. Because it uses that metallic plastic instead of paint, mine has one of those lines across the masked head. Kinda like retro Iceman had across his face, just like his, in the most conspicuous spot. Wouldn't mind if it hit anywhere else on his armor or even on the back of the helmet, but it's RIGHT ON THE FACE PLATE. So annoying, but I hope it's a one off, and not like Iceman, a flaw through the entire run. Next, his shoulder pegs won't swivel in his torso, much like the MK III, but I eventually got them to move. I feel like these are going to break if I move or force them. I was thrilled to replace the original MK II in my display, but not being able to pose this one is REALLY annoying.
I passed on every other figure, and will wait for a sale on the other Iron Man, possibly, if the unmasked Tony head is smaller than the Endgame finale version.
Ugh, that really sucks about the Mark 2.
