Ohh, I found out my Pulse membership ran out, just as I was going to preorder a Black Widow. I'll probably re-up, but I think I'm going to wait until it's closer to Pulse Con.
I've even settled on crossing my beloved Ragnarok First Act/Roadworn/Muspelheim Thor off my list because I realized I don't even like the Ragnarok body as much as the AOU/Dark World one and won't really be happy with the kitbash they can/would do. So this Thor is gonna be my last Thor, and this Cap will be my last Cap. I'm splitting the Widow with a friend since I just the WS Widow head. Iron Man mk 45 was on my list for ages but now I'm good on that. I'd still take War Machine mk 4 but not holding my breath anymore. Maybe Armor Wars will yield something cool, assuming the strikes don't lead the industry into some horrible AI-scripted trainwreck.
Anyway, thank god it's friday. And a long weekend!
Noooo! Who else will put Roadworn Thor on their most wanted list besides me now 🤣? That is a really solid point, though. Guess I need to start pushing sleevless Thor from L&T instead.
Really hoping this isn't the start of a dark era for MCU ML with the ongoing strikes and delays. Out of all the different lines I collect, this is without a doubt my favorite.
In all sincerity, I do hate to let you down like that. but yeah, the L&T one is pretty close but with fuzzy shoulders which makes him stand out even more! I dunno... truth is, if they do the Roadworn Thor I'll probably still get him, just not clamoring for it now. I got everyone down to 1 except Iron Man, Hulk, and Spider-man, and now I'm getting back up to 2 for several and even 3 for some. It's an affliction.
And yeah, with the strikes... it's really going to be tough. Star Wars can be an evergreen property since they have SUCH a backlog to choose from. They could wait five years to do another project and still never run out of solid choices to fill waves. Marvel could too but they just won't go there. it has to be a special thing, an every-other-year event still chock full of repaints to yield a handful of new sculpts and/or characters. Maybe the strikes could finally break Hasbro from that mold and get closer to Star Wars Black Series as far as waves of MCU characters, with a focus on whatever the current/upcoming release is.
I dunno though. Streaming services are raising prices in an attempt to drive customers toward the ad-version of the subscriptions since no new content means they gotta make money somehow. Everyone is hunkering down for a long winter. Disney just spread the completed shows out further (What If, Echo, Agatha) to cover their lack of new content a bit.
I dont know if it will be a dark era, but we're certainly going to have less MCU figures next year. I hope Hasbro supplements with another Infinity Saga wave, preferably with a few unmade characters in it next time, and maybe a few catch ups from recent movies like High Evolutionary
With a few kitbashes I did, like my own Killian or the A60th Destroyer, my desire to see those decreased a bit. I would buy them if made, but I am like yall with that Thor not clamoring for them as much now. I would love a sleevless L&T Thor. Even if it's the blue armor.
I hope the team is able to capitalize on the down time. I think about the covid delay and all we got was the Widow 2 pack but I guess they had social distance restrictions to figure out last time. So this time hopefully they can keep the ball rolling and fill some holes while we wait.
If I could pick a full wave of characters to fill the next D+ wave with I put it below. This excludes characters like Ravonna who can show up for Loki 2 or Abomination who I'd rather see in a different look than his She-Hulk appearance.

It's funny, I watched an interview with the Hasbro team that was filmed just a few weeks ago where they mention that they now have a list of all the Infinity Saga characters they'd like to get to eventually. My thing is, we've BEEN making lists on these forums for years!! And they're just now making one? Surely their finger isn't that far off the pulse? But then we see this wave of repaints and I just scratch my head lol.

Especially since this time they can actually see which way the wind is blowing with enough time to compensate. or close to it. Get those make-up waves into production NOW, and they'll cover part of the drought after it's hit. Maybe one more wave of repaints while they work on some new sculpts to slip out.

@bubbles I actually don't know, that whole lower torso was just so ugly and dated to me so I never thought of doing that.
If I pick up the new Widow it'll only be for the arms to get swapped onto my Widows.
The wrong lipstick color is really bothering me on the new heads. She only ever had red lipstick in AoU during the party and she wasn't even in her Widow suit.
Curious what the pricing will be in Australia hopefully in line with regular marvel legends releases & not the 60th anniversary figures.
i think, i’m going to just get mk 2, banner, stealth suit, & widow. The other figures don’t offer enough new for me to get them again maybe i’ll consider getting civil war iron man if i can find it on discount because i really like the paint apps.
i really wish this wave had more figures like the mom scarlet witch that is basically redecoed with limited new sculpting.

I did but only on the first day. When I click the link from My Orders, it is no longer available. So she sold out.
And yeah, Hawkeye always gets the shaft in the Infinity Saga.
Pulled some of my Homecoming releases of the regular Spidey costume off the shelf, including the 2 pack version with the oversized head and terrible likeness... this is the figure they 100% should have released as part of this wave. There must have been some issue with Sony over this release, because going with the inaccurate version makes no sense.
The ball joint on the Homecoming release will need a little enlargement - but the new Holland head from the Peter Parker 2 pack release and the upcoming NWH figure look fantastic on the Homecoming body.

Really have no idea where to post this, but the Infinity Saga Spider-man shipped from EE today; still waiting on Black Widow and Iron Man to ship.

the photographer has done an awesome job but just seeing this outdated body is disappointing, it’s definitely better than the original release but I would have preferred hasbro release a civil war or solo film widow with new hairsculpts & double jointed arms & they could have done this figure again when they had enough budget to sculpt a brand new figure.
Hasbro's aversion to revisiting The Avengers in action figure form is very interesting. I wonder if the rights are more difficult due to the Paramount/Disney buy-out.
There is zero reason to NEVER do a Chitauri in 10 years, or revise Loki or any of them. Loki just fell over AGAIN and took out one side of my Avengers shelf. Not happy.
