I preordered Banner and Widow. I hope Banner is the top seller in this wave to show the team we'd prefer new characters. I know he isn't "technically" new but that was definitely not Banner in that AoU 4 pack lol. Such so that he's the only MCU Legend I don't own. So he'll be new to me.
Between the forums and social media I've not seen hardly any positive responses to this wave. I know there can be your average amount of complaining any time new product is released but this seems to be a lot more than usual. There's no way the team doesn't feel the heat. I wonder if they'll actually address it. I don't mind them saying it's for new collectors who missed put. But throw us long timers a bone and say you've got new characters coming to this wave eventually or something.

I wonder if this wave was in part a quick fix that could be manufactured in a speedy manner to keep MCU product available amidst all the shuffling of film and D+ projects that has been going on since the pandemic.
Also, that this may continue into 2024 with the Writer's strike still going with no end in sight with another Infinity wave of mostly repaints, but with a little more prep time maybe we could get much desired characters like Whiplash, Malekith, Razor-Fist, Darcy Lewis and Kaecilius.

Like i have said before, if we get 8 figures next year and 6 of those are repaints, but we get say Whiplash and Malekith or in general 2 new characters, I won't complain at all. Heck, even someone like Kaecilius could be done pretty easily with existing tooling they have! I hope we can get something like that next year.
Right now it looks like we may get Cap 4 at the rate things are going, and that's it for movies. I don't see how Deadpool 3 and Thunderbolts make next year. So doing another one of these with a couple new characters would be a great way to keep us happy until 2025. IMO, of course
@e-rock I'm with you there. Even if they do characters I'm not into, I would rather they do at least a few new characters. But yeah, I really hope MCU figures don't fall to the wayside during the movie drought.
I hope that's the case. I'd buy every one of these repaints if it ensured new characters in this wave going forward. Even if it's only 2 or 3.
I guess that's the Hasbro way, buy this inaccurate or repainted (yet slightly different) figure again and mayyyyyyybe we"ll give you something better down the road. Prove to us you'll spend money on stuff you don't want and mayyyyyyybe it'll fund something you do want... in a few years.
Yeah, definitely. We caught on to that with the Jedi Luke figures in the 3 3/4 inch line. They'd do one that was great, then one that had a better likeness, then that one with better articulation. Then that one with the cape. Then that one with no cape and it's the Death Star Duel version. Then a step back on the likeness, but it's a Vintage style card, and so on. One or two a year it seemed like. I have a hard time buying Jedi Luke now, even in the 6 inch line because I was so traumatized. I'm trained to always hold out for the next, better one.
I've even settled on crossing my beloved Ragnarok First Act/Roadworn/Muspelheim Thor off my list because I realized I don't even like the Ragnarok body as much as the AOU/Dark World one and won't really be happy with the kitbash they can/would do. So this Thor is gonna be my last Thor, and this Cap will be my last Cap. I'm splitting the Widow with a friend since I just the WS Widow head. Iron Man mk 45 was on my list for ages but now I'm good on that. I'd still take War Machine mk 4 but not holding my breath anymore. Maybe Armor Wars will yield something cool, assuming the strikes don't lead the industry into some horrible AI-scripted trainwreck.

Noooo! Who else will put Roadworn Thor on their most wanted list besides me now 🤣? That is a really solid point, though. Guess I need to start pushing sleevless Thor from L&T instead.
Really hoping this isn't the start of a dark era for MCU ML with the ongoing strikes and delays. Out of all the different lines I collect, this is without a doubt my favorite.
