Saw the wave at Forbidden Planet here in NY yesterday; was tempted to get Banner, but all their Legends are $30, and for a bare bones figure, I just couldn't. I've been getting better with my "gotta pull the trigger here and now when I see something in store for the first time". It's my own little collecting Hulk- gotta keep the big guy down. 😜Â
@joshuakat why does building molten man kinda feel like some kinda death knell now? Heh.
Tell me about it!! I have dragged (drug? Me no english lol) my feet on him for so long! My intent has always been to own one of every MCU character regardless of my personal opinion on the character. But MM is such a niche character to me because he wasn't even "technically" real. And if he were he's just too small for me. Plus if I were to get excited for any elemental it'd only really be Hydro man. Now if he came with a Stark drone with an led light that lit MM up from behind since he's a tad translucent that'd be pretty cool. It's just hard to pull that 40/50 dollar trigger on him when the only desire is simply to complete my roster. But with a down time like this perhaps it's now or never. Also, truthfully I missed the first BaF Groot, Hulkbuster, Giant Man, and Ultron and every one of those found their way to me thru re-release. That's I thing I bet would never happen for old Molten Man lol.Â
Right, the baf is likely his only release. But yeah, the lull seems like the right time for sure. And it's pretty cool you lost is so short!
I was kinda like that with the turbines on vulture. Felt like they weren't that necessary but during a lull, I went for it.
I was having the same thoughts about Molten Man the other day while clearing some room on my MCU shelf. He's definitely not a crucial part of the display, but he's such a unique BAF, with all his lopsided gloopiness. Definitely a cool one, especially if you get some light shining through him. I've always been such a Spidey fan too, that I don't mind having a big baddie in the display. Would've been cool if he could be closer in scale to, say, Surtur or something, but for such a minor character, I don't think they'd ever go that big (then again, they did for Surtur, so who knows?) Don't know if I can part with him, at least yet, especially since, like ya'll said- the chances are super slim he'd ever get re-released. I have Mysterio posed in front of him for now, so it's all good.
On AliExpress they have oversized versions of some transformers. (I got a Megatron from the second Marky mark movie for my son a few years ago to have a massive villain for his collection and he uses it as a separate character.)
I have no idea why they did this but always hope those people will get to the Legends figures some time. Oversized Giant Man, Surtur, or even Molten Man would be sweet.
Man I HATE this Natasha so much.
It blows my mind why they just didn't give us a Civil War Widow, that's what's under the Infinity Suit vest anyway.
Even if they had used the Infinity War body for The Winter Soldier look it still would have been closer to accurate...
Plus why did they give her red lipstick when she has NEVER had that in one of her Widow suits. It's just frustrating.
Plus the Infinity War head looks much better than the original head anyways...
Molten Man is fun. I really would like Hydro-Man from FFH to go with him. Doubt it ever happens though
Seriously baffling. Why not just do the Endgame kitbash? Or new hair for a Civil War figure?Â

The Civil War one just makes too much sense.
Â
Thor got some new heads, Banner got one new head. Could have just done new HAIR for her. Also a Rhodey head would have been nice.

A Rhodey head would have guaranteed a purchase from me.
