I got the Iron Man Mark 2 today as well. I think this is a huge improvement and its functionality is a lot better than the Mark 3 figure, at least for me (sorry, Norm!!).
Unlike Norm’s articulation issue, my copy of the Mark 2 has shoulder articulation that rotates nicely, which is a significant contrast to my experience with the Mark 3 figure, which is a figure I love but fear posing because the shoulders always feel like they will break. I do not have that fear with the Mark 2. I feel like I can pose it freely and take advantage of all the nice range of motion it has. (I did unintentionally subject this figure to cold and then heat—it was out on a cold New England porch and then placed on a radiator, so maybe that helped free the joints?).
But there is a swirl in the plastic above the right eye on the faceplate. Similar to what Norm noted. Not ideal but also not super horrible.
@akatsuki Mine just went straight into the display, never to be posed again. But the odds of getting a figure with mobile shoulders swivels seems 50/50 now, and not a chance I'd take unless it was deeply discounted. But more disappointing is the plastic quality on the helmet. That shit is inexcusable. I might consider repainting the silver, which is at least an option that Iceman doesn't have without a full repaint over the translucent figure.
My Mk 3 Iron Man didn't have the shoulder issue, thankfully
The shoulders on mine definitely felt stiff, almost locked up. After working with them a bit, it seems like there is almost some sort of spring effect where if you pull the should out from the socket it can rotate easier and then it springs, or clicks, back into place when you let go.
Mk2 stinks. Shoulders are maybe the worst part of any Legends figure I own. Feels like the joint is made of wet pasta. Straight garbage.
Did I miss these shipping from Amazon? I've had Nat and Banner on pre-order since day 1 and they still say Feb 2nd.
@joshuakat Mine shipped from Pulse. Don't know if Amazon ever got them in.
Same, as long as Amazon doesn't kick them down the road a few times like the NWH wave appears to be doing.
Even if they do, there isn't a figure in my order for those I feel an itch to get yesterday. Unlike the NWH wave
That's a good point.
I agree. I can totally wait on these for sure. On the flip side I've literally cancelled every single NWH Amazon order because I've impatiently went out and found them on my own haha. There's definitely a difference.
Heh, I got Sandman first then the rest yeah I cancelled and found at target or ordered at target. I wasn't going to get Tobey either since I just never liked that costume, nor was I much of a fan of the movies. But for Spiderman, I'll still allow the "I've got those, so I may as well get that one" nonsense.
I think a local Target had them, but I am only waiting on Tom and Andrew and Tom is coming tomorrow. I can wait lol
I'm kinda nervous about the fact that once Ock and this wave drop that's it for MCU Legends! Have we ever had empty carts with no MCU line on the horizon?? I know there's a leaked list plus it's assumed more will come in the new year but it's still a foreign territory to be in lol. I guess I can finally track down 2 more Red Skulls for the additional Hydra Soldiers I never army built and the Molten Man BAF I never completed and I will offically own at least one version of every single MCU Character ever released.
