Also - how do you replace your avatar image with a new one? I cropped mine differently and can't overwrite the first image I uploaded...
Use a different format; if hosted use direct if direct used hosted. Then revert back.
Thanks - tried this and reverting back to the uploaded image just used the original file, not the new one.

Is there an upload image tool somewhere on the new post screen? I've heard someone say there is, but I can't find it.
I've seen that mentioned too, but I certainly don't have one (on mobile or desktop).
Should I give up trying to trigger a password reset on my 'enforcer' account? I feel like at this point a mod will need to manually deliver it.
On the old forums I was able to click a little icon next to a thread to take me to the last unread post in that thread. That doesn't seem to be an option anymore.
I'm thinking this forum software doesn't track where each user has left off in each thread like the old one did, but I'm unsure. I do know that the default when clicking on a thread is it takes you to the most recent page, and to get to the beginning you have to click one of the sub-headers under a post title. I didn't realize that at first, and because of that I didn't realize this thread already had 5 pages in it prior to the one where I re-asked the same "how do you post a pic in a post" question that I now realize has been asked several times earlier in the thread. 😮
@enigmaticclarity thanks for the tips. I now do realize that clicking on a thread title DOES take me to the first new post (or maybe the last new post, can't tell yet), there's just a delay. So it takes me to the first post of the thread and then after a few seconds moves me to the new posts. A bit clunky but it does work. What's funny is it registers that as two page visits, so clicking back after reading the new post takes me back to the first post, and then clicking back AGAIN will finally get me out of that thread. Again, clunky and I hope some of this stuff gets ironed out. If not I'm sure I'll get used to it but right now my muscle memory is screaming.

use the 'direct link' from your photo host site, thats how im doing it. hope that helps.

oh geez the forum has been invaded by spambots even though when I registered I had to go through 3 captchas & my post were moderated?!
That's weird--I haven't seen any spam bots yet. It's kinda crazy that there would be any when we humans were having difficulty signing up. And yeah, the number of captchas is wild. I've never seen that many. And of course I messed up my login and had to do them all again.

Edit: Yeah, that didn't quite work, did it? Weirdly, it does show it embedded in the preview, but it does whatever this is once I actually reply.
the Spambots cameout around 2:00AM, they probably cleaned it up. i saw them.
if you click on the "recent posts" button, you can spot them quick when they come out.

For example I can't paste images from Google Photos here, but my current guess is because Google Photos doesn't put the image file extension on the end of it, i.e. something like .jpg or .png
