Or does anyone know what the name of the forum software is? I can look it up if I know the forum software.
Not to be a Negative Nancy, I am happy the forums are back, but I prefer the sample Proboards format posted earlier in this thread. Not sure what the downsides to that format would be, but I hope it is at least explored.

Reviewing the source code for the site it looks like Robo used WordPress Forums software. i tried a few ways to embed images into posts but none have worked so far.

That's weird--I haven't seen any spam bots yet. It's kinda crazy that there would be any when we humans were having difficulty signing up. And yeah, the number of captchas is wild. I've never seen that many. And of course I messed up my login and had to do them all again.

Glad to be back! Missed reading the forums. It took many, many tries but I finally got signed up again. Next year would’ve been 20 years on the Fwoosh Forum for me, so I’m sad to miss that anniversary. One thing is certain…I never want to see another pair of headphones or a diamond bracelet again in my life!

Wow, I also see your images while editing them in quote marks, but yea, they don't show up in the final post.
I've tried copying image address URLs from multiple places and directly pasting them into posts. If that's supposed to work it must be pretty limited in the types of web addresses it supports. I'd be fine with a workaround, but none I've tried work. I've tried HTML img tags, UBB [img] tags, and a few other tricks I've learned as a web developer who has used forums regularly since the 1980s but none are working so far.
I've seen a few other users get this to work, but when I copy their image web addresses and paste it into my own posts THAT doesn't work either. All of them that work appear to be coming from the WordPress web site so I'm guessing they uploaded them there somehow. Is there an upload image tool somewhere on the new post screen? I've heard someone say there is, but I can't find it.
Great to be back! Couple questions about basic usability - if anyone knows how to get this stuff to work let me know, please:
On the old forums I was able to click a little icon next to a thread to take me to the last unread post in that thread. That doesn't seem to be an option anymore.
Second, there used to be a link at the bottom of each thread to take me back to the subforum. So if I read the TMNT Super7 thread I could then click the link after the last post to take me back to the TMNT forum. That's gone as far as I can tell, so now I have to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to return to the sub-forum.
I usually have a tab open for TMNT, GI Joe, and MOTU. Currently each tab is just called "Forum" with nothing to distinguish one from another.
Holy F*ckknuckles that was not easy to get back in. For people who haven't got a password email yet - do you just keep triggering a password reset until you get lucky? I've done so for my actual email about 20 times. It seemed to work fine on my other email but the username is not exactly right 🙂
Also - how do you replace your avatar image with a new one? I cropped mine differently and can't overwrite the first image I uploaded...

Use a different format; if hosted use direct if direct used hosted. Then revert back.
Losing Tapatalk support is a big downer for me. That’s where I read all my group stuff.
