I see. Thank you. Sounds like I need a third party site like Imgur now. Tapatalk somehow cut out all of those extra steps.
Imgur is pretty easy. Always a little hard to get used to a new interface but this isn’t so bad. My only real issue is how white this white is.
Just checking to see if I appear the way I intended to appear.
Overall, not too jarring but I do miss the Tapatalk functionality. Makes mobile a lot easier.
Avatar thing is weird. Had me log into a wordpress account I created in college for a project.
Tapatalk isn't an option here. It's made for full on forum software, this is just a Wordpress add-on. It's just waaaaay easier to maintain this way rather than try to upkeep essentially two different sites (front page/forum).
did you ever look into proboards? it's basically idiot-proof and not a nightmare to use on mobile like this is. registered last night but found it completely unusable on my phone. it's not much better on desktop, since it's embedded into the main fwoosh site and everything is stuck in the middle. it doesn't use up the screen space efficiently at all.
this also seems to lack some important functions, like the ability to block users.
https://forum.wrestlingfigs.com/ is a proboards forum and even has ads which i'm sure is something you'd want to keep
proboards has a decent mobile interface but also tapatalk compatibility as well. you can also enable account approvals, private boards, all of that stuff from old fwoosh with relative ease. i'm on a board that migrated to proboards after a phpbb board permanently broke and it works great

this felt so bizarre to me because that's when i made my wordpress account too. didn't enjoy the trip back to 2009 me
I wonder if there's a limit to how many images or attachments we can upload. I know that it's 2MB per attachment, but do users have a limit to how many uploads you can eventually make. That was an issue for me at the old action-figure.com message boards, then I eventually migrated to Fwoosh (in like 2003 or 2004). But I also used Photobucket back then. I'd really rather avoid having to start a new photo hosting account.
I use Fwoosh exclusively from my cellphone. Tapatalk has been such a quality of life improvement for the last several years for me. If there is any way to get Tapatalk compatibility again, I would really appreciate it.

i'm really hoping they take the proboards suggestion seriously. i do most of my posting on mobile as well.
proboards also doesn't require the maintenance or hosting that wordpress or phpbb does. eventually this will probably break too and then we're back to the comments of the board's broken blog post
idk if pj has found his way back yet but he's a long time wfigs poster so he knows that it's pretty reliable
Look, I get it, but we're already using Wordpress for the site itself, have been for 15 years. Proboards (or any other actual forum software) is just another thing to maintain on top of it. Another database. Another round of random upgrades at times. Wordpress was always more stable and only really crashed because of phpbb.
thanks for the answer but that is disappointing. I really liked the Tapatalk interface and photo posting abilities. I bought a membership to use on Fwoosh. I am finding this new interface comparatively difficult on mobile.Tapatalk isn't an option here. It's made for full on forum software, this is just a Wordpress add-on. Is there anything similar to Tapatalk that’s available? Also having issues on mobile, which is how I access the forum primarily. The ads in particular make it hard to navigate.
The notification emails need some work, is there a way to customize functionality here?
Notification of a new topic doesn't provide a link to the topic, only to the board, so you have to go looking for the new topic.
Notification of a new post in a topic only provides a link to topic, not the new post, so you have to go looking for the post.
The sender name is just "- Forum", looks like the board name should be added in here, i.e. "Fwoosh - Forum".
It seems like this board's notifications are generating a lot more emails than the old board (when notification emails were actually working). Or at least it was, as it seems like notifications emails stopped working around 1pm EST. Did they break, or was the feature turned off?

except it's not any of those things. no upgrades, no database, nothing to maintain. proboards does that all on their end. it's as much actual maintenance as a facebook group or something. seriously, you could make one for free in 2 minutes and see that all three of those things you just said are wrong.
you can dig in your heels about it, whatever, but you're actively making it harder on yourself when it's clear you're trying to find an easier way to do things.
virtually every user issue mentioned thus far is solved in proboards. you're trying to build a house with an empty furnished one for free next door.

this took me literally 3 minutes. anyone is free to click on this and see how functional it is with zero effort.
I'm not a fan of the new site layout, and it seems VERY barebones currently for a launch... Completely wiping the forums and all users sucks but that's inevitable with changing the site so much, I hope we can get an archived form of the old forums at least. It would be awful if over a decade worth of information and community history was lost.
I hope this all gets fixed in due time, but we will see.
wait, does this not have direct messages either??
