I would love to hear from someone "in the know" on what the plan, or even the hope, for the future of the forum is. I love the community here and am more than willing to stick it out through some tough times, but maintaining the forums here might no longer be a priority. 

I think there's an opportunity here to join forces with TSI since he's putting the forums together on more stable footing. It would be unfortunate for there to be an unnecessary splintering of the community here when everyone is still willing to collaborate.

Ha sorry to speak in code! KvHulk is exactly right, Fwoosh user TheSameIdiot set up the Articulated Thoughts forum. Lots of people have made their way over there.

I don’t know what is going on with the Fwoosh brand,  but it is time to move on from this forum.  Every failure weakens this community and every time the board returns, it is less functional then before, and we all wait for the next inevitable failure.  

Even with all of that aside, the ProBoard experience is so much better than Wordpress, and I have no doubt that will also be true of the forum software TSI upgrading to.  TSI is putting his own time and money into building something that will last and grow, whereas I haven’t seen a single improvement here since this new forum launched.

I hope Fwoosh and TSI can team up, because that would be the best option for this community,  but I’m probably going to be spending most of my forum time at Articulated Thoughts.

As far as I know pabs plans to keep Fwoosh going. The considerable downtime is due to testing servers for data migration which will (hopefully) lead to more dependability, stability and longevity.

you guys should join us at articulatedthoughts.com  Fwooshers are gathering there and it is reliably up and on a great forum platform (we have PM, a trade forum, block feature) where we don't have to worry about whether or not it is going to disappear forever.  At the very least it is a good backup for downtime here.

I am glad the Fwoosh is back up though.  So many things have happened while it was down in the toy world, and there has been no way to talk to everyone.  So, I'm glad it's back, and im glad to know about this other site too.

I dont think Fwoosh will make it, its dying a slow death. I joined Collector Freaks and their forum platform/software is awesome, real smooth. How's that other forum, is it good, alot of people?

That's good to know!

I think one of the reasons the new site was created is that we didn't know if Fwoosh was coming back.

Maybe in the future if there's going to be Fwoosh downtime a quick little note on the Facebook/X/other social media pages just letting everybody know we'll be back ASAP!
