My new estimated delivery is this Friday for the Batmobile.

Just checked mine and no update. Encouraging to see people are still getting them. Feels like they’re individually being built one by one.

I received mine on Monday. It was shipped inside a McFarlane shipping box that was inside another McFarlane shipping box that was inside a giant Amazon shipping box that was nearly the size of my front porch. I'm happy to have it! Who knows when I'll ever get around to opening it, though. I still haven't opened the Flash movie version or even the BTAS one that I've had for years now.

I finally have a delivery date window -- 9/29-10/1! I'll believe it when I see it but feeling optimistic.

Got it delivered today! It was in a huge Amazon box but not multiple ones like others have described.

There weren’t supposed to be trading cards for Batman and the Batmobile, right?

no people assumed it was coming with a card but a mcfarlane rep confirmed there is no trading card and the description on the solicitation was a mistake.

edit: looking at the original pictures I was from toyark it did come with a trading card, but I checked the Amazon listing and the same picture is there but no card. I guess it got removed for budget reason? The rep did tweet saying there is no card, however no reason why…

Finally took the time to update the McFarlane Keaton with a Mezco head plus custom cape and man...words cannot describe just how happy I am with this figure. If only my camera wouldn't keep making him look cross eyed!

Yeah, you really can't break up that neck with articulation and have it look accurate.  You have to sacrifice it.

Anyone got any ideas on how to tint / darken the windows?  I don't really care about being able to see Keaton Batman inside the car, I'd rather have it look more authentic.  Again, this is a nitpick since I love the car, but that's the one thing I'd change.

@jtmarsh I have never tried it, but I know Tamiya does a tinting paint. Apparently you can do multiple coats and it darkens with each one. Maybe try that on some test plastic first?

Didn't know that Tamiya made a tinting paint. Definitely going to test this on some of the clear plastic that McFarlane uses to package the figures. Terrified to try it on the Batmobile!

I cannot recommend the Tamiya tinting paint spray (I believe it is called 'Black Smoke'?) because it is incredibly difficult to manage. The challenge is getting the same consistent level of colour density throughout the window area. Much easier said than done. In addition you have the issues of bubbles or dust particles. They are easy to fix on any solid color coat that's not see-through (i.e. gently sand and spray paint over again).

You need to be incredibly skilled and you only get one chance to get it right. If you make a small mistake, it's next to impossible to fix. It's much easier repainting the entire Flash Movie Edition Batmobile and masking the window area which is tinted by default.
