had to check my own order status & that remains

Not yet shipped We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date.

I'm assuming they underestimated demand.

Finally, my Keaton Batman and Batwing set has shipped from Amazon.  I was starting to think I wasn't going to get this thing from Amazon.

I did see the 1989 Batman stuff at Kohl's including singles

Nowhere else seems to have stocked this series

Spin Master is also making toys in conjunction with DC's Metal Force

I'm guessing this is how Brainiac will get released ...finally.

The Batman Forever stuff is up on Target.com now, but only the Batmobile is currently available to ship.  You can find the links at this link:

Target Exclusive Spin Master Batman Forever Movie Retro Collection Available Online - ToyNewsI.com

It doesn't seem any of them go to the Riddler though.  The one labeled "Riddler" seems to go to Two Face when i click it.  Can anyone find a link to Riddler on Target.com?

Honestly, I don't get the Batman Forever stuff for a couple of reasons.

1. They are direct copies of the original figures that were not even movie accurate in the first place.  The biggest gripe you can make for the Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin Kenner figures is that very, very few of the toys actually looked like the movie.  There was no Kilmer or Clooney panther suit offering, no screen accurate B&R Robin, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Bane, Riddler, Penguin, or Batman in his Returns suit.  If you're going to make a line in the Kenner scale and style, make it movie accurate.  I'd have been all over them.

2.  The original figures aren't that desirable and are still readily available to this day.  If you want Batman Forever figures, you can find them MIB at not a huge cost.

Direct copies of inaccurate figures that are readily available.  I don't get it.

I saw a Batman and Riddler figure in a local Target over the weekend, along with the Batmobile.

@yojoebro82

I would add a #3 as they would compete against McFarlane's Super Powers

both are 5 inch scale and very similar

Some of Spin Master's figures for the new Superman movie have been shown off. There are four "Epic Strike" gimmick figures, a roleplay cape set, and two figures for a 5" BAF wave.

Also came across this leaked photo of a random assortment of Superman merch. Looks like both the 4" and 5" line are getting multi-packs. I can't find the list, but supposedly there's a Hawkgirl figure coming in the 4" line. I'm hoping there's also a figure of her in the 5" line, since we all know there's not going to be one in the Multiverse line.

Nice to see at least some of their stuff going up for pre-order. Hopefully other websites will follow suit soon.

I like that they're making Hawkgirl in the 12" scale, but... what are the chances that the 4-pack will be the only way to get her?

So pics of the new 70s Superman line are out...

....and I hate them. Why did they do this silly Star Wars scale?

Is this how all the figures - Batman franchise included - are going to be?

Hard pass.

Went grocery shopping tonight and the Walmart I stop by has the new Superman movie figures in. I found and bought the only 12" scale Hawkgirl figure they had. Vast majority of the figures were Superman, but they also had a lone Mr. Terrific and a single Ultraman. Ultraman actually looked pretty cool, so if he's actually at all interesting in the movie, I might try and track down his figure. I'm going to leave Hawkgirl in her packaging for now. I'm still kind of hoping Hot Toys makes a 1/6th scale figure of her at some point.

I didn't think to take any photos of it, but there was a weird playset that... could have some interesting implications for the film. It had something to do with the battle in the Fortress of Solitude and included a large figure of what I'm going to call an abominable snowman. Had some blood splatters on it and at least two of it's limbs could be popped off, revealing more blood where they used to connect.

Bought the multi-pack Target exclusive set for Metamorpho and Baby Joey. Now to sell the others...

Also found the Baby Joey chomper figure which is a lot of fun.

Anyone know if Metamorpho is getting a 12 inch figure from this line? I don't think he's in that line-up (or in the 3-4 inch figure assortment, either...)
