I had NO clue that the Battinson suit had ANY orange trim on it anywhere. Hell, it was truly hard to tell if the suit itself was actually gray or black in the movie due to how dark it was throughout.
Wonder who their next Golden / Silver age character they take a swipe at will be. Batman villain? JL member? Riddler? Catwoman? There is that new Bruce Timm show coming with a Catwoman design straight out of the Golden Age but Mezco don't seem to revolve around direct media tie ins that much.

I'm hoping for Catwoman or Penguin myself 🙂
My 'The Batman' came today. I like it a lot, they translated the costume into 1/12th soft goods really well. He comes with a ton of accessories, probably everything you'd want with the figure. I'll probably finally replace my old Ascending Knight with this one in my Mezco Batman display.
Still, there are definitely problems with it:
- Articulation is limited. The torso can get some forward tilt with the ab crunch but the armor is too restricting to go beyond that. Likewise, the pants and armor on the legs make it so that you can't raise his legs up very high. Articulation on the arms is good, though, and the ankles are surprisingly decent.
- In terms of size, the head sculpts aren't as bad as I feared. They're still noticeably oversized and a tad bulbous, though. Older Mezco Batman heads technically fit but they just sorta float on the neck. The neck pegs they use are a lot smaller now and they don't go as deep into the heads as they used to.
- While the costume overall is good, the cape and the collar aren't great. The cape is thin and sorta floats around on the figure, getting it to drape naturally over the shoulders seems impossible. Really has nothing on the supremely nice cape they did for the grey & black Golden Age Batman a year or two back. The collar(s) they completely screwed up. It conforms so tightly to his neck that it's hard to notice he even has a collar.
Mezco have both Joker & Robin listed as "June to Aug" any guesses when they might actually come out?
Nightwing is up for pre-order. Looks okay overall, though I'm not a fan of the head sculpts.
Seeing that they’re committing to the bat family made be track down a sovereign knight Batman, PO nightwing, and now I’m looking for a Damian robin. Really hope they continue to support the bat family/villains as well as the golden age line.
For the modern stuff I’d like to see a tim Drake robin or Red Robin, or a Batman INC Batman or Dick Grayson Batman. (Cmon they’re never making a Zurr En Arhh Batman)
as far as golden age I’d like for them to round out the cast of pretty much the 60s show. Riddler, cat woman, penguin, and a Gordon would be awesome. I’d also love to get a blue Batman with the yellow oval and a neal adams head sculpt.
Anyone know when Golden Age Joker and Joker might be out? On Mezco's site they both say Jun- Aug but how often do their figures get pushed back approximately?
Robin is showing under now shipping on mezcos website, but I’m pretty sure it was Joker that got the “charging soon” label a couple weeks ago. Has anyone got any shipping notifications on either?
I got notification that Robin was shipping soon, but haven't got a shipping notice yet.
Collector cave on YT just posted the first review of Golden age robin. He’s got a lot of complaints but it looks great to me
