OMG!!! THEY'RE MAKING THE TUMBLER!!! can't wait and with lucius!
the rest looks promising too.
Ambush Bug and the Tumbler with Lucius are definitely the two that I'm most excited about here! I'll likely buy Captain Boomerang, Penguin, Starfire and Zsasz also. The rest are likely passes for me.
Was really surprised to see both Lucius and Zsasz up there. Zsasz is one who never gets any love in the figure department; I think the Arkham Asylum game might be his only figure to date? I wonder what version they'll go with. I definitely wouldn't mind a new Arkham version, since the old one is forever stuck in squatty potty mode, but a shirtless comic version with all the scars across his chest would be cool too. I'm not a huge fan of the increase in Gold Label, but if it means a better paint job with more scarring, I'd bite. We never get Zsasz figures, so this is a great opportunity.
The Tumbler is gonna be a beast, and our first ever Lucius figure- Nolan Trilogy or otherwise- is a great selling point. Gives me hope for other civilians like Alfred, Gordon, or Blake too. Just hope it's not an MTS exclusive, but even if it is, I'll snag it. Feels too important not to have (just don't know about the shelf space). Wouldn't surprise me to see a camo Tumbler in the future too.
As always, some potentially great figures in the pipeline but I'll have to see how they turn out before I commit to anything.
Man.... Ambush Bug... that's one that's super tempting... a character I always wanted that Mattel didn't get to.
The last time Todd released a character that I really, really wanted in my collection - Static - the figure turned out so bad I didn't even think about buying it. I wonder if that's going to happen this time, because this is one of those characters that will be hard to resist.
batpod and catwoman set coming to mcfarlane toystore tomorrow
Tempting, but I have the Mafex Dark Knight Batman. I should probably get that Bat-Pod over this.
The Tumbler I will definitely consider since the 89'/Flash Batmobile scaled well enough with 1/12 figures.
(Sorry couldn't figure out how to post images on this thing)
Some good stuff. Is the Doomsday the BVS version? If so, insta-pass. I thought that design was horrible.
Starfire and Captain Boomerang are both huge dubs, as are Lucius and the Tumbler. I wonder what design Starfire will be. Wouldn't be opposed to her current Nicola Scott look since I'm guessing it won't be the classic Perez version (given the other Titans we've gotten were in their Rebirth looks).
And given the Task Force title I'm guessing the Flash will be 90s Wally. That'd be great, though I'd prefer the current look with the nose cone.
@hbhfback the Doomsday is most likely from the 08 Superman/Batman comic run.
Expecting Ambush Bug to just be the Jon Kent body with a new head just. Which I'm all good with btw. Will happily take that sort of reuse if it means we/I can get nice obscure folks.
Catwoman looks really good. Don't know if' I'll get the Batpod or wait for the single. I have the Mattel Batpod, it's more than adequate, and this is just one of those things I don't need multiples of.
Regarding the "females don't sell" BS, I can't believe companies are still going with that line. It's like the rare occasion when you come across someone in 2024 trying to tell you the earth is flat. People still buy into that?
@misterskeezler I wouldn't count on that happening... ever, lol. Todd made a "joke" about female action figures turning little boys into serial killers.
Yes, but apparently, selling little boys figures of characters that actually are serial killers is perfectly fine.
(Before someone goes on a tirade, yes I know that there are plenty of action figures of killers across multiple licenses and multiple lines out there. I’m just pointing out the irony in McFarlane’s comment, not making a social commentary.)
McFarlane is still stuck in the 90s in some respects, and this is one of them.
Zsasz is a bold choice. I wonder if he'll be MTS exclusive.
Ambush Bug!!
I wonder if the Justice League Task Force wave will be based on the mid-'90s video game instead of the comic series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League_Task_Force_(video_game)
If I recall correctly, heavy hitters like Superman, Batman, and Flash weren't core to that book. They'd come in and out for different adventures and the core team was Martian Manhunter and then a bunch of secondary characters.
If the wave is indeed based on the game, this would be the perfect place for Darkseid, who was the main villain in the game.
Zsasz is a bold choice. I wonder if he'll be MTS exclusive.
yeah, he’s perhaps the most exciting leak because he’s so specific and [relatively] obscure. I hope this is a sign McF is going to go deep with Bat-villains. I’m intrigued to see Penguin and I very much hope he is classic with a Super Powers Platinum variant.
