firestorm pic, now this is what you call a collectors edition, extra hands and effects helps the price.

I can't pull the trigger on $30 Hawkman and Sinestro.  If I see them in person that may change things, but $10 extra is just too much.

I won't either. Would really like to find out how they made the decision for which characters to include in these Collector Editions. Firestorm looks pretty good, but still not paying the $10 extra tax for that stand.

Wait. So McFarlane had a left hand ring sculpt for Sinestro and they didn't even use it for Alan Scott?

I was cutting them slack for being cheap on tooling but this is just deliberate errors.

I went ahead and got the bundle on MCF store. Sinestro, Hawkman and Firestorm (who looks awesome) are about $69 after applying coupon (MTS10). After taxes and shipping it was about $87.

So wasn't it just like a year... maybe a year and a half ago that McFarlane was shit talking Marvel Legends raising their price to $25 for figures and bragging about how he can keep the price lower.    Now these figures are $30?

It's not that I don't understand the economics, I just think it's funny how he strutted around bragging about keeping his price lower than Hasbro and now he's pushing the price well past what they charge.

That Firestorm has my interest but not for $30.    I'll wait and see if it hits a clearance price or I'll live without it.

I think these are essentially $10 extra for a raffle ticket at chases that sell for $100.

McFarlane was slipping chases into what he thought would be lower demand figures and now the idea is to charge $10 extra for the raffle aspect since these ALL have chases. I'm guessing Silver Age Sinestro, Jason Rusch, and JSA Hawkman.

Ok Sinestro looks great, Hawkman is alright but holy moly, that Firestorm is straight up, well, fire. I don't really care for the character plus I already have a DCC CW figure on the shelf that's good enough but I may cave here. Would've been a much easier buy if they weren't 10 bucks extra.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the McFarlane Store bundle for Sinestro, Hawkman and Firestorm. With the 10% discount code, and after shipping costs, it came out to about $88. Which is almost $10 cheaper than ordering on Amazon or Target with free shipping. So I consider that a win. Plus I was able to pay with PayPal, so the credit card doesn't take a hit, which somehow makes it a little less painful.

Gah!  After all my brave talk, once Firestorm went up I got the bundle from McToyStore.  The discounts and MTS code made it cheaper than free shipping on Amazon so I'm telling myself I'm okay.

Isn't this a dangerous game for Todd to play? I can order 10 from Target, expect to get one and return the rest. The onus isn't on me for once and they'll have a bone to pick with Todd for getting stuck with inventory.

Precisely, plus these drop in October.  Christmas season comes with various discounts and as long as the Hal Jordan 2pk lingered / continues to linger, I'll wait for Sinestro on the cheap.  Only one I ordered was BTAS Scarecrow because I thought I was going to have to buy a 4pk to get him like when they re-released Detective Bullock.  Arguably the other animated offerings besides Freeze seem to have haphazard cel-shading at best.
