What must one do to get a Rebirth Green Arrow in the line? He'd work for the DC Vs Vampires line as he's the lead protagonist and Otto Schmidt's art is fire.

At first I thought it was just a joke, some super mego rare editions with an aphthograph or something, but no...it's just regular wave of figures for 39.99.

Ahahahaha...no.

Aren’t most of the classics looks being locked  behind Gold Label?

Yes, they are.

That's why I don't care about this line for the most part and can't wait for the other company to have DC figures. It can be 5 years or 10, I don't care. I'm just tired of all the  Gold Label\Collectors Edition crap at this point.

"Do you want a good Super Man figure? Well, how about you buy three different versions: one has a good head sculpt, other has a good cape, and the third you need because of the body."

"Do you want a good WW? Collectors Edition 30$". I don't care about your "baseball cards", Todd. Go sell them somewhere else.

"Batman? Oh no! Sold Out!". Thank god we have Vampire, Clown and Gigolo Batman...

Most figures cannot be put side by side because they're stylistically, height and design-wise different. Accessories? Sometimes we have interchangeable hands and sometimes...nothing.

At least we have Mafex or even Mezco figures. Christ...

Well, there you go.  "We don't plan to raise the price, but if we don't make enough of them we might have to".  At least they addressed it up front.  My comment above still stands: I'm only here waiting for the Batman Forever figures.

Yes, and what is a "gold label"?  It's literally a gold label slapped on the box.  There is no more or less effort put into the product you're paying for, there is no higher quality to the product.  They just put it on the box when they want to.  Over at ML they do the same thing with anniversary figures.  There's an anniversary for SOMETHING each and ever year.  The problem is when you start to pay more for what they arbitrarily choose to slap on the box with there being absolutely no change in quality to the toy itself.

I’m only a casual McFarlane collector, but aren’t Gold Label figures basically repaints?  I I think LESS effort typically goes into a Gold Label release.

Having said that, it seems like more effort went into this COIE wave than is typical for Gold Label releases.   Going back to the Target theory, did the Target exclusive BAF waves carry the Gold Label?

Generally Gold Label just means that it's an exclusive to a specific store (at least initially). Yes the Target CTB waves were all Gold Label. Most of the gimmick figures are gold labels. The DC vs Vampires are Gold Label exclusives to Walmart. Amazon has had a bunch of glow in the dark Gold Labels. I feel like a lot of the Jokerized figues are Gold Label Target exclusives (but not all). BBTS has the bizarre black and white or gray accent Gold Label figures. EE has had both sketch variants and Black Light figures as Gold Labels. Walmart has also had figures like Black Lightning, Parallax and Shazam as exclusive Gold Label figures. Target has had characters like Animal Man, Red Tornado and Supergirl as Gold Label exclusives. The Lobo and the '89 Batmobile were Amazon Gold Label exclusives. McFarlane Toy Store previously had Catman and the Patina repaint exclusives. So Gold Labels are indeed often repaints but there have been multiple examples where they were the only version of the character offered (at least so far). Monitor, Psycho Pirate and the Spectre will now fall into that category.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure that you get the jist....

This bodes poorly for the only McFarlane figures I was thinking I'd have to buy this year when Todd puts them out: Kingdom Come. You know he's going to do something like this for KC figures, probably some of the very same figures: Superman, Spectre, Wally Flash, and Captain Marvel. The build a figure will be GL or BB since they're armored characters. The head sculpt for Superman will probably be just as off-model as the one on this "Earth-Two Superman."

Super Powers is so far the only McFarlane product I'm interested in, and I'm strongly considering getting into vintage Super Powers and selling the McFarlane stuff except for the vehicles.

Just got my third delay notice from Target for my Wonder Woman pre-order. (At 4:01 AM). I managed to approve the delay. But it's really just a matter of time before they send me another delay notice in a week or so and then cancel my order 5 minutes later before I have a chance to approve it. At least that's the way it's usually happened to me in the past. Hope I'm wrong, because I really want that figure.

@hbhfback lol right, usually the only thought that comes to my mind regarding chase figures is "I hope I don't get the chase!" when ordering online.  I'm glad the chases are less-desirable, because the flip side is way worse,  but it's annoying that I might get a toy other than the one I ordered.

Blame the budget all day, you can't tell me Kid Flash, with his one paint app (other than his head) and complete reuse including the wrong sized hands cost a bunch of budget.  And who wants to bet one of the chases will just be him, but in reverse palette?  lol.  $$$

@ninjak I hope it works out for you.  This happened with my Captain Carrot, I approved the delay four times, and then out of the blue he shipped.

I'm curious to see what a Christopher Reeve headsculpt would look like on this upcoming crisis Superman.

The way they implemented the articulation on Wonder Woman sucks. So many bad cuts. Even though its better than pre-Fortnite McFarlane articulation, I was still reminded of it at points. The articulation is there, and it works, but the figure looks best standing neutral. especially because of those damn jagged knees.

Did smiling "Classic" Superman ever go up for pre-order on Amazon? I like the earth 2 version but not for $40.
