Saw Captain Carrot, Green Lantern screaming Batman, Hulk Superman with Krypto, and gamma irradiated Hulk Superman and Krypto variant on Target shelf today. Pass. Except for Captain Carrot who I don’t know anything about, the rest look too weird for that premium price point to me.

For some reason Wonder Woman is the one classic figure I decided not to pre-order and it's been impossible to get. Nightwing, Superman, and a few others have pre sold out at multiple retailers. I wonder if they are producing less for the pre-order runs or if these were just very in demand.

Got shipping notices for Animal Man and Red Tornado the other day, though. I think I'll be using the 3J Red Hood arms and jacket on Animal Man, but we'll see how it scales.

Wanted to shamelessly plug chrome Arnold as well. Gunmetal dry brush on the whole armor (3 coats after few hours to dry between each). I feel as though you could do this with little to no paint experience, really easy/thoughtless mod that has just made a world of difference in how this guy looks.

Saw Red Tornado in-store. My order arrives this week.

Wonder Woman is sold out because she was highly anticipated.

Okay, Batman GL, Longhair Superman and Krypto and Wonder Woman are processing from GameStop.

I couldn't to the life of me understand why McFarlane's design team made Captain Carrot so big.

Well, after looking up images on Google, I understand.

That Arnold face is scarily realistic. And yes that extra paint is a must. I have limited experience but will be attempting something similar.

Would you ind posting the chrome/metallic specific paint you used. My experience doesn't exceed Michaels.

I picked up Red Tornado at Target this afternoon. I found mullet Superman and krypto at Game Stop last week.  I’m really hoping I find Wonder Woman in store or online somewhere since I managed to miss all the pre-orders of her.

No doubt - but Captain Carrot, classic Supes, Nightwing have sold out from almost every online retailer. Could just be a few popular figures, but I definitely will be inclined to pre-order anything I'm on the fence about early and cancel later, as opposed to waiting it out. Time will tell how much figures like WW are restocked.

Finally updated the old DCUC display to include the McFarlane Anti Monitor and a reminded that this line really shines with the mega figures. Tons of detail and articulation on this guy.

Proportions were one drop of Vallejo black matte acrylic, two drops of Vallejo silver (70.997 model color) and a half drop of water to thin the paint. I did two layers of this color, then did one layer of just the Vallejo silver without mixing to brighten it up and give it more of a shine.

If you're curious about how color will look on the figure, can always flip over Arnold's shoulder pads and put some paint underneath where it's not visible.

yes, got my Captain Carrot and I'm so glad I didn't get the chase.  He is FANTASTIC to the point where I'd buy the chase anyway, but I'm glad I got the regular version for now.  I'm so used to these McFarlane figures having thin wrist pegs, I was very happy to see these thick wrist joints.  If that's the norm moving forwards, I'll buy more.  I have a bunch of the older figs with small wrist joints and thin pegs, nice to see them improving that joint.

Gun is from the newest mcfarlane gun pack

@disneyboy Thank you! I don't have the Wonder Woman figure so I'm afraid I can't answer that question but I can tell you what I used for Ivy.

I used some thinned down cheap paints for Ivy, I wish I could say I used high quality materials but I didn't. The metallics are by HissiCo in a mix of green and yellow for the leaves on the leotard. I painted her hair with Apple Barrel Bright Red and FolkArt Cardinal Red and Apple Red. Apple Barrel Parakeet for the eyes but I can't remember which paints I used for the eye mask and the green of her glove sleeves. I blushed her cheeks with a little chalk dust and of all things, used a glitter pen on her lips to get a little sparkle and then I sealed the eyes and lips with gloss sealer and the hair with Mr. Super Smooth Clear matte.

Regarding Wonder Woman, I can't find a listing for her on Target's site.  Even after checking to include out of stock items.   I'm assuming Target is getting her, since it makes a lot more sense to order her versus Captain Carrot or Red Tornado.    Like most McF figures, patience is the key.  She'll certainly pop up somewhere in time.
