Hey I don't anything ya'll don't, but there seems to be more of a pivot towards TAS series and some movie things sprinkled in.  Page Punchers (Superman) got delayed and rebranded.  Just a hunch, I guess we don't know much about next year compared to prior years.

 

For me I don't get excited about repainted stuff so I might be willfully ignoring a decent quantity of figures for 2024.  I felt more hyped in prior years.

I agree the past year has been hit or miss, and we're definitely in a spot where they've found a way to maximise output on a budget; the result is alot of repaints which normally aren't too bad (IMO) but we do get iffy releases because of it too (Lightning, Batzarro).

The BTAS is easy re-release tbh, its a line that made money and they're smart enough to capitalise on it unlike DCD were.  Page Punchers being changed does hurt a bit because it really did become my favourite of the sublines cause I'm a sucker for overdesigned looks.  But if it means we get more frequency in Collector Edition wave releases then I'm in cause to me that's become quite a stellar line price-point notwithstanding.

All in I'm excited because I do believe we're gonna get a good variety along with a bunch of Batmen but aslong as they look good I'm fine.  I've measured exactly what I collect now so I feel more in control if that makes sense ha.

Yes, next year is the 85th anniversary, so get ready for even more Batmans (Batmen?), which is good news for me.

Hoping for a Gargoyle of Gotham version, that would be awesome. 

For Spawn anyway he's doing a 35th Anniversary Line that sees a price increase - and hopefully with paint/accessories.  That perhaps being a new standard and a new KickStarter actually will keep me in the Todd game.  I'm very excited even if I want to see some classic villains/monsters still.

Good Superman figures will keep me into the DC line as well, it's just changed in the last year and I'm more discerning.  Page Punchers was the coolest thing so that sucks.  I do still think he has his eye on 7" Spider-man. The door is open a crack.

Got my first (and inevitable) email from Target today telling me I had to "approve the delay" of my Wonder Woman pre-order or it would be cancelled. I managed to do so, but I've played this game many times with Target before. In my past experiences this will be the first of at least 4 e-mails over the next couple of weeks telling me I have approve one delay after another. Then finally I'll get an e-mail at around 4am of which I will have about 5 minutes to respond to. Then when I fail to do so, they will cancel my order (as they have done numerous times in the past).

So, hopefully I'll somehow be able to get this figure for retail some other way after Target eventually cancels my P.O. 😤 

I wasn't too keen on this Wonder Woman, but honestly, seeing the review photos she looks pretty solid.

It's a weird almost-Dodson Diana, but close enough.

I got the email too. My second one. Hopefully Target doesn’t cancel on me, but just in case I have one sitting in my PoL at bbts. 

Yesterday I approved a Target delay on Captain Carrot because they didn't expect to hit the already delayed Jan 12th release date.  Today I received a message saying it was in-stock and preparing to ship.  Here's hoping your WWs came "early", too.

I want Wonder Woman because I doubt we'll get a classic look in this line again and literally all I want to do is round out my core justice league members , but there are so many things that just look off about this. The joints are incredibly ugly and the face just isn't quite right. The side by side with power princess really tells it all. 

I really love the colors on WW.

I think she looks sharp, but not one of my big wants so I'm likely easier to please there. When/If we get a proper Superman to build around I will be more critical/excited for the rest of the main characters.  Martian Manhunter being undersized kinda threw everything out the window as far as I was concerned with traditional displays.

Started reading One-Star Squadron and it really makes me hope that McFarlane dives into those D-Listers, I can't be the only one that wants a Flying Fox, Black Condor and GI Robot right?!

i would love to get characters from the All-Star Squadron.

Got Ivy, Robin and Batgirl two days ago from Target and I guess Batman was out for delivery yesterday but got pushed back to Tuesday.

found owlman at my walmart this morning in miami, there was 8 on the pegs rang $19.87.

no sign of vamp robin yet, still searching.

Got Captain Carrot in yesterday, my god is he a big boy!  Great piece, and more than stoked he was released cause I was one of the few fans of his it seems haha.

News seems to have stalled though; hoping things start getting revealed again and we get more leaks.  Needing some new characters to bulk this Justice League team of mine up!  The Question, Adam Strange, Spectre, Phantom Stranger, Red X, the list goes on
