For those who pre ordered the Batman and Robin BAF Mr. Freeze figures from Target and had them put on Backorder like meβ¦..
Β
Batgirl and Robin are shipping now. I just received those 2.
After taking to Target Support, they said Poison Ivy is expected by December 28 and Batman by January 5.
My Batman from the wave is still backordered, but I had the others delivered today while I was at work.
I haven't opened them yet, but will in the next day or so.
Anyone an idea what the next wave of collector edition figures are? Also are they going 4 per wave or was Wonder Woman not apart of the Captain Carrot wave?
Anyone else had issues with McFarlane's store and shipping?
Β
10/12 I ordered Carapax when it was on sale - still hasnt shipped and everytime I email them they say "we are processing the order and have a large backlog"
Β
Meanwhile 11/12 I ordered the Santa Batman who shipped within 4 days and arrived in about 2 weeks after ordering
Β
Its really annoying because Carapax was meant to be an xmas gift for someone 😓Β

Sorry to hear that. The real pain is that the 2nd fig I ordered shipped almost immediately when the initial order hasnt moved at all and all they say is "sorry but we are busy" they cant even give an ETA on dispatch!
Β
Yeah, their service is inconsistent & even suspect like shipping with a lower tier service when I paid for Priority. They are not run well if unable to fulfill orders properly without mistakes especially taking full payment for preorders a month away or more.Β
In regards to shipping from McFarlane, it is the single biggest reason not to buy from them in my opinion. They have no level at which they offer free shipping. I have had multiple orders where I paid more than $50 just for shipping (for the cheapest slowest option) and I've never had an in stock order arrive in less than 2 weeks from purchase. Both of those points might make sense if I lived in another country -- but I live in Iowa and they're shipping from North Las Vegas. I basically only buy from them now if they have excellent bundle or clearance deals + the 10%-15% coupons. Rarely does the 10% or 15% coupon even cover the shipping cost, regardless of the size of the order. Right now I have in stock orders for holiday sale merchandise that were placed on the 8th and the 11th that have neither one shipped yet. Today is the 25th. It's a good thing that I wasn't purchasing them for Christmas presents....
When it comes to figures, only Entertainment Earth seems to have similarly slow shipping to McFarlane. Big Bad Toy Store, Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Walmart always all seem to be delivered within 1-2 days for me. Gamestop is completely unpredictable in terms of shipping timing as they seem to ship from random stores rather than any warehouse.
McFarlane's store is totally disorganized. I've read Facebook posts where people got the wrong figures shipped to them, and McFarlane will hold their actual order until the customer returned the mistakenly sent figures. Just a total nightmare from inability to cancel, high shipping, charging full price right when a pre-order is listed, etc.
Best to avoid unless the item is in stock and on sale. I grabbed the Batman and Robin set and the 15% off holiday code pretty much covered shipping.Β
Only reason to buy from the McFarlane store is they get preorders in first usually. That, and you have a higher chance of winning the drawings to be able to purchase the chase figures at retail price plus shipping.Β

The store definitely isnβt cheaper. Iβve also had them send me the wrong figure a few times. They didnβt make me send it back, though.Β
While I thought BVS was a terrible film, I did like Affleck in the role, so I may pick this up. It's a bit funny this gets announced the weekend after the DCEU officially dies, so I guess this is a commemorative piece of sorts?
wow he looks good! hope he come with some extra hands and gadets
Got a bit of McFarlane X-Mas swag yesterday. Essentially, I buy the figures when on sale and my wife keeps them until Christmas to give to me, so not much of a surprise. Ha!
This year it was the four Dark Knight Returns figures plus the DKR two-pack and Red Batman Santa. Fun stuff, and ended up being around a $100 price tag since I paid full price for Santa. I really wanted that DKR horse, so I'm happy to have it in my collection, and the figures are an improvement on both DC Direct and Mattel for the most part. I didn't pay more than $10 each, so it was worth double dipping characters selection at that price.
But my biggest takeaway is that DKR Bats has thigh cuts to ride the horse and it's so, so, so, so much better for posing. The lack of thigh cuts are what holds me back on most of these figures (especially of characters I've already bought in other lines). The posing limitations are a big deal for me, as it's really hard to get a natural leg position otherwise. Wish they'd consistently add that cut across the line.
I also got the '66 Batman library/study, and am stoked to finally have all those playsets. Anybody else get some fun DC swag for the holidays?
