@vicious7171 Honestly, if the CE figures came with these stands with, say, non-black light bulbs in different colors, I'd be thrilled with the $30.
I like the Black Light Mr. Freeze. I like that the colors are based off of his first look. This looks good as a regular figure without the black light.
Wish someone would do an accurate Mr. Zero, but I think I'm passing on this. I'd buy a proper one in a heartbeat.
I actually LOVE the armor-suit sculpt in the super-retro Mister Zero colors. It’s got that zany, retrofuturist vibe that I dig so much. This is an aweosme figure, immediate purchase.
I don’t get the complaining about complaining.
Most of the criticisms people are giving on this forum for DC Multiverse, Super 7 TMNT, and Marvel Legends are usually accurate, or they are statements of opinion. We can all see that the lines take shortcuts or overcharge for what they are providing. There’s no reason we should pretend to be happy with a product if we aren’t, especially on one of the few forums dedicated to expressing our impressions of these products.
I hear a lot less complaining from fans of some other product lines (i.e., GI Joe), because their team is killing it these days. McF can do better- I know because I’ve seen them do better before. Also, just because someone criticizes a product doesn’t mean you cant enjoy it. I recently picked up the deluxe Spawn with throne and I love it, despite some online reviewers criticisms of the product.
Saying people should stop collecting action figures if a line of products (or aspects of that line) disappoint them is like saying people should move to another country if they criticize their government.
I only really mind the inaccurate art card when the card is of a far superior design/costume, as happened with Static, Arsenal, and now most recently Animal Man.

Wow. That last comparison/analogy is just a bit hyperbolic.
I have no issue with criticisms; again, that's part of being a fan. What I was expressing is that there seems to be a group of posters who really do nothing but come to the forum to generally crap on the line, without offering much else.
I've always thought of these forums as a conversation among folks with a common interest. Imagine if in real life you had a group of friends who all liked the same band, let's say, and one of them did nothing but talk about how the band sucks now, their old music was better, their last song was crap, and so on. Would get old pretty quick...
For the first time, I actually found a Platinum Edition figure at retail. I was at a Wal-Mart and found the Platinum Edition of Jim Gordon as Batman. It's a blue variation of the figure instead of the normal black.
I had to pick it up. It was as I said the first one I ever found, and it was Batman related.

Sounds reasonable.
I find myself buying less of Mac’s product lately. I think I’m just buying the upcoming classic Wonder Woman. Maybe that new classic Superman.
According to tracking, my Batman and Robin wave should be here today!

Exactly. I've seen this forum morph into a carbon copy of some Hasbro ML forums as of late, and it's in response to what the toy company chooses to do. With both lines I've noticed this pattern: Company produces pretty good figures, a few duds here and there of course, but overall quality work that keeps the fans happy. This keeps up for a few years. Then one day fans start noticing a decline. Quality starts dipping ever so slightly, prices start rising (not so slightly), more and more corners get cut, more and more final products come out that are lackluster, the overall feel of the line is less "adult collectible" and more "dollar store", you can't see where your money is going. It is OK that fans call this out. And if it continues, it is OK for fans to KEEP calling it out. Because like you said, we've SEEN that they are capable of doing better.
Complaining is a thing, though at the end of the day I don't really get it; you're not forced to buy these, and of course they aren't perfect but they are far from bad. Now yes I was super disappointed with Black Lightning's base choice, and I was bummed about Midnighter having grey trousers and yeah I was a tad put off when Waverider was based on Convergence rather the 90s BUT I got them all and you know what; they all look great and give me what I'm wanting in this line which is as many comic heroes as possible no matter how obscure.
Batzarro is the latest to tip me back a bit but I know full well I'll be ordering from my guys in HK to ensure I get the set ASAP!
The big question now for me is, what does next year hold. We should be seeing the next Target year long BAF set in the coming weeks, I imagine we see the JL BAF wave soon too along with the next MegaFigs. I just want more product, this past year I feel it just sorta stalled here and there with too much focus on huge waves (The Flash) or vehicles (again...The Flash). We're due Doom Patrol surely, most likely more Authority or atleast an Apollo, I'd say Cyborg is a surefire too, maybe a Detective Chimp in a Collectors Edition wave? Come on Todd, there's so many characters from the last few years we need.
Not to mention the BvS Batfleck, cause surely they go all out and give us all 3 looks, would genuinely surprise me if they didn't.
According to Entertainment Earth, there's 3 figures going on sale this Friday. Knightfall Nightwing has been announced, and so have Bizarro & Batzarro. Are those a 2-pack, or individual figures? Don't remember from the listing.

The Classic Superman (Black Adan Page Punchers Superman buck) is the other figure to go up for preorder this Friday.
