@supreme_d the card stand is the worst accessory ever. it's not even a figure accessory, it's an accessory for an included item that most of us throw right in the trash. I like the sideways text on the cards but the inconsistent art style between cards kills any collectability for me. Even if I kept them, I'd put them in plastic toploaders, which I'm guessing don't fit the card stand. I just buy acrylic card stands, they're under a dollar and look much better than these McF ones.
The consumer engineering attempts on this line are so blatant it’s frustrating. They keep releasing “almost” versions to string us on, and I’m just tired of it.
I think we’re all getting tired of it, but it’s not just McFarlane. Hasbro has been doing it with the Marvel Legends line for years now.
I never particularly cared for McFarlane’s approach to the DC license, but I at least I respected his work. He was producing quality figures at a competitive price, and while the character and design choices weren’t necessarily to my liking, I couldn’t deny that they were great toys.
Now that he is finally getting around to the characters and designs I’m interested in, he jacks up the price $10, he’s re-using bodies with sculpted details specific to the character they were originally designed for, and he’s doing chase variants which seems more than a little cliche in 2023. I’m very disappointed.
When we look back in a few years and debate what ended mass market retail adult collector lines, 2023 will be Exhibit A.
Seriously, I mean come on how does a sculptor mess up Tim Drake Robin as much at the last three were. That sculptor would have been doing it all over again or not working for me again.
See, this is what I want to say to people when I’m chastised for being critical of figures that suffer from poor design decisions and sloppy execution: “If it was YOUR company, would YOU have allowed this figure to go into production?!?” I wish we had more people like you making those decisions.
Steel looks great. Another member of the League down.
Speaking of Kypto dog. bought these 2, should be here Monday (1/12 scale)
So I ordered the gold label supergirl from target, got it like Friday just now got around to opening the box and discovered this..... thing....

I keep all my cards in one of those clear acrylic baseball card boxes with the hinged lid. When the cards get to the top, I know it's time to sell some McFarlane DC figures (which I just did). It's about half way full now.

You nailed it, word for word.
Vampire hunter robin coming to Walmart
McFarlane killed retail adult lines?
I finally decided to get a Batmobile and arrived yesterday from Amazon. It seems to follow in the same spirit as supreme_d's post. I'm glad I didn't buy the first version. I imagine this newer version with the black canopy and matte plastic is a bit nicer?
The boots and bodice have entirely different textures so having both of them either the same matte or metallic red would be a weird choice.
I think is fine that she uses a chest armor,to me she is almost perfection in terms of wonder woman
GameStop has a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale online….dunno if it works in store too
Excludes Pre orders and Clearance but seems to work on everything else, including Collector Editions like Firestorm and Hawkman.
