Glad to have the forums back, perfect time to jump into them more!

I know it wouldn't fit a fight-themed 2-pack, but I'd have loved if the Superman came with a smiling head. Maybe he won easily or something! Glad McFarlane is putting out the Action Comics #1000 figure again, though. This face looks a bit better to me, too.

UGH! these multi packs with one new figure and 1 or 2 repaints is killing me. I need Clayface and Batwoman but I sold off that Batman because he is too small. I love those lighter colors on Superman though and Atomic Skull looks great. I have had Knightfall Batman for 2 weeks now and he is far and away the best Batman McFarlane has made. The height and the body design are perfect to me. He is my minds eye of the Batman I grew up reading. If I had a nitpick it would be what others have said-just a touch darker grey for the suit. the blues are great. I will take a rerelease of every Batman on this buck. Blue/Grey Hush Bats was my favorite but he is just to darn tall. Still I will buy the Black/Grey Hush because I am weak. SIGH. If you're listening though Todd the Knightfall buck should be used for a great many characters from here on out! Can't wait to find Riddler.

I saw on a Facebook group that the new Hush Superman is as tall or slightly taller than Hush Batman. Boy I hope that's true. The Knightfall Batman being more in scale with everybody else is a part of why i love him so much.

So, personally I’ve always really liked the McFarlane Rebirth Batman figure, but all I ever hear people say about it is that it’s too small, and it doesn’t scale well with the other figures in the line. But then along comes the Knightfall Batman, and all I hear is that it’s the perfect Batman figure at the perfect size, and it scales perfectly with the other McFarlane Multiverse figures.

But here’s the thing… The Knightfall Batman and the Rebirth Batman figures are virtually the exact same size.

I think they are both great figures, but why is the Knightfall figure considered the perfect size, and the Rebirth figure too small? I don’t get that logic.

Man, I am so happy the forums are back.  Talking toys with people, I know by online identities but never actually see in person is more important to me than I realized lol.

I missed you guys.

I got lucky and found Captain Atom at a Wal-Mart in Ohio, I got my pre orders in for the recent Amazon 2 Pack and 3 Pack, I got the Riddler in the mail today, and I have Tim Drake, Hush Superman, and Collector's Edition Alan Scott and Abyss coming from BBTS.

Still waiting on my Deluxe Anti Monitor and Justice Buster from EE to come in and ship out.

Otherwise, I think I'm pretty well caught up.

I can't wait for that next wave of Collector's Edition to go up.

I've got both, and I like both. I think Knightfall hews a more towards a classic look for Batman and that gives it the edge. Plus the extra hands.

@asm Oh, I understand why more people may like the Knightfall figure better than the Rebirth figure, because most people seem to gravitate towards the classic versions of most comic book superheroes. (Including myself). What I don't understand is why the Rebirth figure is considered to be "too small", but the Knightfall figure isn't, even though they are the same size. That's all.

The ear also, slightly longer. Give the impression of a hair more length. I have to say, proportion wise KF Batman is just about perfect. Hush Batman is good but maybe too tall and waaaay too barrel chested. I guess the good thing with this line, between KF, Rebirth, Hush and 3 Jokers there is a Batman for everyone.

@ninjak Looking at your pictures, especially with the qtip, Rebirth looks just slightly shorter than Knightfall to my eyes but you're right not that much difference height wise. I guess I didn't say it properly but it's more the body size seems small to me on Rebirth. He looks more teenish and his thighs just seem too thick. He just was off for my preferences in what Batman should look like. Just my personal taste I guess.

@sgtstinky Yeah, I totally get that. I always thought that Rebirth was a little too short as well, but it didn't really bother me that much, because almost the entire line is a little out of scale with itself. Some Batman figures are taller than Superman, some aren't. Some teen figures are as tall (or taller) than their adult counterparts, etc. It's all over the place. So I didn't mind that Rebirth was a little short, because he actually scaled pretty good with some of the other shorter figures in the line.

Then the I got the KF Batman and compared it to the Rebirth figure I was surprised that they were almost exactly the same height (give or take a millimeter or two). So I thought when I watched reviews of the KF figure there would be a lot of complaining about how he was also too short and out of scale, etc. But instead every reviewer was like "It's the perfect height and scale." The only consistent negative comment was that the gray was too light. And I was scratching my head a little. Don't get me wrong, I really like the KF figure, (despite the fact that the gray is in fact too light). But I personally think it's a little short as well. For example, the original Nightwing from wave 1 is taller than him.

@ninjak Yeah scale is my biggest nit with DC Multiverse. I noticed that with the 1st Nightwing too sadly. From what I have seen the Titan wave Nightwing scales better with him but he doesn't have his escrima sticks so...SIGH. When McFarlane hits it out of the park-like KF Batman-it's a grand slam and then we get the head scratching moments and I'm like what the heck?!. Man it feels good to have these discussions again! Didn't realize how much I missed this group until it was gone for awhile!

While I'm not a fan of McFarlane figures and won't buy anything at this scale, I must give them credit for the sheer amount of figures they've churned out.

I've almost caved on a few movie figures, but ultimately passed because the face paint apps and likenesses have all looked like shit.

The scale bothers me and I'm someone who has quite a few 7 inch figures from other companies. But the inconsistent engineering gets me a lot more. McFarlane is up there with Figma on lack of consistency and I still can't believe DC Multiverse is this far along and they still have awkward ankles and hand choice.

I preordered the Atomic Skull 2pk, and I'm actually kind of excited to get that Superman. I have a few of the AC1000 Superman, but having it in a lighter blue with the huge S and cape just really evokes that Post Crisis period between Byrne's 'Man of Steel' and 'The Death of Superman' (when Superman returned from the grave, they darkened the blue of his costume; it was much lighter prior to his death).  So while this is certainly not the Byrne Superman or the Jurgens Superman that some of us want, I think it will stand in very nicely!

Atomic Skull looks cool, too, as well as the base they come with. No complaints there.

I'm on the fence about the 3pk with Batwoman...she looks reallllly good, but I already have the other two and that seems like a steep price to pay just to get her. Part of me says I should hold out for a discount, but the other part of me says "first McFarlane Batwoman figure, she won't be around long."  So I dunno. What do you guys think? Think she'll be tough to get down the line?

I've seen Captain Atom, the 3pk with Ultraman, and Vampire Superman several times in the last few weeks and I keep passing on them. I think I've finally moved out of "gotta catch 'em all!" mindset and into "just buy the stuff you like, dummy." I feel like I'm growing as a person 😋

Seeing lots of posts where people are talking about how they missed this place and the posters in it. I have to say, I agree. During the 10 year hiatus (it was 10 years, correct? Do I have that estimation right? lol), I found myself missing the conversations, the news (you guys are the best at finding out toy news), and even the arguments. I may be happy to see certain posters haven't yet found their way back, but I even missed the arguments. I tried looking around at other sites for toy talk, and it just wasn't the same. The Fwoosh has always been the best. Glad to see you guys.

I haven't seen Captain Atom in the Denver area yet.  Hopefully he's not hard to come by once he hits.  Or hopefully CMD store gets Black Lightning up while Cap is still available.  I can't justify shipping 1 figure from them.
