Love the texture on muscle rabbit man. A lot of McF have such satisfying to the touch textures on their clothing and to me it's a big selling point. I have to hand it to the Batman & Robin set, they all look fantastic. If I were doing McF movie figures, I'd be all over them. Feeling glad for those who are into such displays because they're about to get a really nice upgrade.
@vicious7171 Same here. I like the textures they add to some of the figures. It makes me feel like I'm getting a little extra value for my money. LOL
Almost all superhero costumes look smooth in the comics because what artist wants to sit there and draw a bunch of texture in every panel. That's why I like when the figure makers take it upon themselves to add a little "realism" to the costumes by giving them some texture like cloth, leather, metal, etc.
I've actually been feeling a little disappointed that a lot of the recent releases haven't included this feature. Like the new Knightfall and Hush Batman and Hush Superman figures, etc. It's nice to see it return in some capacity. In fact, it makes me want to buy Captain Carrot and I probably wouldn't have otherwise.
Preternia posted a pic of Krypto

This pic makes the Superman head sculpt look the one from the Ultraman 2 pack. I can see now how the long hair is added to a head with short hair.
OH man, todd needs to hire better toy photographers, how can you show a figure as a close up and not show the legs and feet. especially since its a 'first glimpse' and why would you put a white back round knowing the dog is also white, SMH.
Wow those new pics look like crap. That’s the 2 pack pouting headsculpt with longer hair added for sure. Krypto looks like the dog from Old Navy stoned.
better pics Todd, better pics
Contemplating the rabbit just for an Easter decoration in the display and the sheer absurdity of it.
I've been hoping Todd would do this Superman for a while but I don't think this is it. The TDKR body is wrong for starters and he really deserves an all new face sculpt rather than a hair piece stuck on an existing head.
I'm willing to wait and see better/in hand pics but so far this one is a let down for me.
Take it with a grain of salt, obviously, but alex_chen_toynews on Instagram, who's had a pretty stellar track record with leaks and news and such (think he's even had to delete a couple profiles because he got called out by companies), posted that Plastic Man, grey/black suit Batfleck, and Rises Catwoman are on the way. Pic he posted of Catwoman was her on the Batpod, too, so maybe we'll see that too?
EDIT: Looks like he posted again, and said that 2 versions of Catwoman are coming- one with the Batpod, and a single-carded one without. Knowing Todd, I'll bet that the single-carded one will be goggles up, and the Batpod would be goggles down.
Edit 2: Whoopsie, I meant Batpod, not Tumbler. Edited to reflect.

He also posted that Classic Aquaman, Classic Hal Jordan, Kilowog, and GitD Parallax are coming.
BTAS Batman
Super Powers
I heard it's a Plastic Man BAF wave with classic JLA versions of Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and Green Lantern. So you buy those 4 figures to build Plastic Man.
Also leaked is a Kelly Jones Batman, a New 52 (Court of Owls) Batman, and First Appearance Batman. Plus a New 52 Mr. Freeze, and Cassie Cain Batgirl.
Sounds like a lot of awesome figures might be coming. Or tons or reuse of Hush, Booster and some other crap.
Yeah, because no other toy companies ever reuse base bodies for different figures. Except for ALL OF THEM. But for some reason some people act like that only McFarlane Toys should use original sculpts for every single one of their figures, even if they share similar body types. Because reasons.
If anything McFarlane reuses base bodies less than almost any other big company out there. So it comes off just sounding like hating on McFarlane because you have a bone to pick.
If you hate companies that reuse the same sculpts for multiple characters, then you must really hate Hasbro's Marvel Legends, and you must have totally despised Mattel's DCUC line because it was literally 90% reuse. And let's not forget Neca, and Hot Toys, and Mezco, and pretty much every action figure company in existence.
At the end of the day, no matter what he releases, it'll both please and anger fans. As rare as they may be, there's someone out there who's been clamoring for a Batman & Robin wave. Or Caveman Batman or Vampire Green Lantern. Every story resonates with someone, even if it doesn't for others. He has a point- people do buy things just because they look cool, even if we come to regret it later. I know I'm certainly in the minority, but part of me appreciates that he does give us designs we more than likely wouldn't get normally.
I think his biggest problem is just that he jumps around so much. Having dedicated waves like B&R or the Dark Knight waves is awesome because he so often just gives us one or two characters from a thing and then hops around to something new. That sort of creative ADHD is frustrating, no doubt, but I wouldn't say that he never gives fans what they want. I think, if anything, he does what any business sets out to do, and in a way tells you what you want, or shows you what's considered "cool" and "now". You don't have to go for it, but it's there if you want it. Everyone complained about the Jokerized waves, but at least in my neck of the woods, they all sold- at full price, no less. It's fun to jump on the hate train online, but sometimes you secretly really like something, especially when you see it in person; we're all guilty of it- I certainly am.
Ultimately, it's up to the individual to decide whether he's giving fans what they want or not. We moan and complain when he does a wave we don't like, but the moment he gives us something we think is cool, we're back on board. It's the Collecting Circle. He plays it safe most of the time by giving us bigger names (the same bigger names over and over, I'll grant you), but they sell, and for what is ultimately a small company in the grand scheme of things (at least when compared to Mattel or Hasbro), that's McFarlane's goal.
I think that's definitely a major part of it, yeah. He does a very scattershot approach to character selection from various eras and mediums, as befits the "Multiverse" name (and was what Mattel was already doing when they had the license), but that's inevitably gonna piss someone off because someone's wanted fig is going to be someone else's "wasted slot!" I really don't think there's any strict solution to that, but it'd probably be less of a thing if it looked like he might actually complete teams in a somewhat reasonable time frame.
