After going months and months of not finding any Platinums, this week has been a goldmine for me. I found and bought the Supergiril Rebirth Platinum on Monday. I bought 1 of the 2 Animated Scarecrow Platinum on Wednesday and today I found 3 more Animated Scarecrow Platinums, Sinestro Platinum and GL Alan Scott Platinum at one Target. I bought the Sinestro as I wanted him in the collection and while it wasn’t on sale, I was ok paying 30 plus tax for a Platinum.
For those concerned Ivy may be too tall:
Uma Thurman is 5'11" (same height as Clooney; O'Donnell only clocks in at 5'9").
And that's before we figure in the height of her heels (which likely add at least 3"). She's hitting at 6'2" in all of her scenes at a baseline.
A still of her shoes for reference: Ivy heels
Arnold is 6'2". Her action figure height is pretty spot on.
Yeah, the height on this Ivy figure looks to be just fine. You can be sure that was a happy accident rather than by design, but still, it's a win.
I don't understand what that TDKR mulleted Supes is supposed to be. GL 3J Batman should be intereteding enough for completists. Captain Carrot though, that's and interesting base body.
Wait, those are Collectors Edition. Boo!
New reveals!!
Finally a perfect Red Rain/Bloodstorm Batman head!
oh, wait… It’s being used as some Green Lantern Batman amalgamation.
Lame.

Right? That "Collector's Edition" stamp is going to kill any excitement I have for future reveals, I'm afraid. Will I get to pay 20-ish, or will I get to pay $30 because Todd arbitrarily threw in a stand for the baseball card? Not fun.
Captain Carrot would have been a buy but I don't care enough about the character to pay too much.

on instagram it reads " Superman from Return of Superman™ WITH Krypto the Superdog."
so that's our 90' mullet superman
Found Dark Knight of Steel Batman last night at Target. Had him on pre-order from Amazon for a while now, but he kept getting pushed back. He was on sale already for $20, and I used the 25% off coupon to bring him down even more. Though now that I think about it, I probably should've done so with the Fight the Frozen Batman, since he's $30 or more around me. Ah, well. I mostly get these Bat variants because they're fun and unique.

Yeah. O'Donnell is SLIGHTLY too big. Batgirl is the most out of scale as she should only come up to around Batman's nose. Otherwise the best scaling McFarlane has done.
Curious what the CE chases will be.
My guess:
Comics Yellow Lantern Batman. (No sculpted logo.)
(Inaccurate) Black and silver Superman.
80s colors Captain Carrot with bare hands and green trunks.
Thanks to those that pointed out I was wrong about Poison Ivy's height. And thus I take back any complaints I have about that set. Great figures and value.
Then these new reveals...We just got 5 figures for $100. They are all new sculpts sans Clooney, and 100% source material accurate.
Followed up with 3 figures that are $30 each. Two of them are completely re-used except for new head sculpts. If that's McFarlane's attempt at a mullet Superman...I mean, that's hilariously bad/lazy.
Captain Carrot looks awesome and it appears to be all new sculpt and good paint apps. Closest to being worth retail although I'll probably wait to see if he goes on sale.
No thought/logic into this stuff. Frustrating but better for my wallet. Would have loved a full Morrison JLA or a proper 90s Bat Family but McFarlane has kept me from collecting that era due to poor quality figures.
McFarlane Toys is so bad at this some times. Most of the time for what I want, but even more broadly the company just misses so many easy wins.
Do you know how hard you have to work to disappoint me when I see a figure of Midnighter? And now the figures cost $30!?
I’ll hold out for Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Wally West Flash, Ladytron, and Mr. Majestic. Other than that, I’m good on anything McF announces/releases.
Why is Superman so thick?
Why is Superman so thick?
His body is a re-use of previous Dark Knight Returns.
McF Product Manager: We need to milk that peg warmer body. Just add the old Superman head, with a mullet & repaint! Add Krypto too!! Ka-Bam!!! New Collector Edition!
