I missed out too, and it especially stings that a lot of them went straight to eBay. I know companies don't care, but always sucks when stuff like those drawings don't end up in a collector's hands. Too bad there's no way to prove the person entering is actually someone who's going to keep it lol

I was a lucky one and I *did* win an EQL Superman. And, not to rub it in, but he’s really great.
That said: lucking out once does not make me feel any better about these Platinum chases. Like that Riddler is fantastic, arguably as good or better than the basic release. It’s certainly an iconic color scheme that I would enthusiastically want to buy two of, probably. So like actually Todd misses out on money I would have spent on a duplicate if these were readily available; same for that Superman. And chasing things is just not fun. I’m honestly not sure who out there *actually* enjoys the chase when it is like this. It’s just ugly and frustrating and boring. Yuck.

I actually feel a bit invigorated after reading your post! The user group here isn't particularly large, and the fact that someone here actually has won a drawing gives me incentive to keep trying...it was starting to feel like the numbers were just so small that it wasn't worth trying. So thank you for sharing!

And I agree 1000%, McFarlane is leaving lots of money on the table. The FA Superman is semi-accurate to the inside of AC#1 (color scheme wise, at least) but I would bet most people associate Action #1 with the cover, not the interior art - making the figure that matches the cover, and arguably the one people want, a Platinum Chase that you can only get by lottery or by luck of someone putting it in your box is a foolish move. Whatever numbers he moves on the regular one, I bet he could have doubled it by offering the Platinum version instead.
I also entered a chance to win the Platinum Edition First Appearance Superman and won it for $40. I saw it on the McFarlane facebook page during the blip and figured I give it a shot. Now I know about the others or any upcoming ones.
I like the Superman v Atomic Skull 2 pack. I like that they used the AC#1000 Superman instead of the Infected buck that has been over used. I did notice that Atomic Skull is a reuse of the Luthor Power Suit with some alterations.
If I didn't already have Rebirth Batman & Clayface, I might have gotten the 3 pack with Batwoman. Hopefully Batwoman will be rereleased as a single figure or in a 2 pack with another figure, that will probably have a new paint job, head sculpt or fabric cape.
I had a hard time finding Knightfall Batman so I got him from Gamestop since it was less than retail with their pro price. The day after I received the package, I found 3 at my local Walmart. I was comparing this figure with some of my other Batman figures and I noticed the belt is the same as the DC Collectibles Knightfall Batman and the heads are very similar.
I think with a few tweaks, that Batwoman could be reused as Batgirl in her modern Nightwing costume. (Which I really, really dig.)
I saw on a Facebook group that the new Hush Superman is as tall or slightly taller than Hush Batman. Boy I hope that's true. The Knightfall Batman being more in scale with everybody else is a part of why i love him so much.
Couldn't pass on that Atomic Skull - love it! Have no use for that Superman at all - but it seems like there won't be much in the way of a trade market for him.
In looking at that Atomic Skull, I would swear the upper arms - shoulder to elbow - and thighs - from hip to knee - are reused from the armored Lex Luthor. I had that one sitting on my desk which is why I noticed. Is the rest new or is there other reuse peppered in there?
I want to like some of the newly previewed figures - Hawkman and Firestorm especially but those images look pretty terrible to me. I'm hoping when we see real solicitation pictures they look better. And that Black Lightning figure is very tempting as well.

The Action Comics 1000 was the only Superman I liked, and i missed it. This will work. I don't need Ghost Rider Ironman but I do like the extra effects. I'll get this as soon as Amazon drops the price a couple beans and figure out what to do with the other guy.
