Not exactly surprising behavior from Todd with his time with DC coming to an end this year. That Static would be kind of tempting, but I might as well just track down the old Icons figure of the same design, which was more accurate.
Quick update on the Batmobile crowdfund
it’s at 94% with 2151 backers and $378,299.67
looks like it’ll be fully funded by the end of the week.
Still waiting for mine, not even a shipping notification. Goofy as Pulse may be, I've never waited a whole fiscal quarter extra ordering directly from the manufacturer.
first review of the batman 2022 batmobile
Ran in to Target today and on the figure shelves saw Thom Kallor Starman, Damage, Nightmaster (as always), Batman One Million and one single, regular Merlyn. Merlyn was one I thought I might want to pick up but seeing him in hand I decided against it. His legs looked scrawny, his head stooped forward... I don't know, just wasn't for me. I had thought I might want the Starman as well but when I picked him up I noticed his body was totally textured which seemed to work against the starfield motif for me and that was a pass as well.
i have both damage and starma red plat and both uses the kyle blackest knight buck. i still like them ut a more smoother buck would've been better.
went by walmart yesterday and found the new batman wave, saw tokra batman, batwing 2 and red/gold azrael along with the yellow rainbow batman.
Are these still truly worth the investment with not knowing what Mattel might do? I have a ton of these and trying to decide what to do next
Depends what you mean by investment? I don't know how many of these are likely to hold their aftermarket value; I've noticed it's far more easier to find the chases now that the line's cooled. Question's gone through the roof, though.
But I doubt Mattel's stuff is going to be in scale with these, so if starting over's a concern for you, that's something to consider here. I've always cherry-picked this line at best, so I'm happy with just having some figures of key characters I like that roughly scale with the modest amount of DCD/DCC stuff I also have.
Looks like My Walmart restocked a few figures since my last visit. They had Green Batman in the front... I couldn't see what other figures they added behind him because the McF figures are locked in a cabinet in the video game section and there was no employee anywhere to help and I didn't feel like hanging around.
