My Cyborg Supes is supposed to arrive from Gamestop tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. I'm not quite as excited about this more classic Hank Henshaw version because I have several of him from other lines like Mattel and DC Direct. I was more jazzed for the Zor-El Rebirth version because that was a first in any line. I'll still be happy to have both.
I'm expecting to find Cyborg Superman at a local Gamestop this weekend. Had him in my cart, but couldn't find anything to add over $54 for the free shipping. Stinkin Walmart canceled my Year One Batman....but I don't want him anymore anyways.
Finally got around to opening my Platinum Adam Strange - and I really like the figure, except for his teeny tiny head. Like it's a great looking figure, I love the look, the proportions with the body are solid, I don't even think the legs look too long on him. But I stand him next to my Ultimates or other lines at that size and the head is like 25% smaller. In fact, the head is a smidge smaller than some of my G.I. Joe Classified heads at the 1/12 scale. If the head were bigger this figure would be perfect and my favorite McFarlane figure to date.
What's crazier is that the Deadshot that came in the same assortment doesn't really have the issue. Deadshot's head is pretty appropriately sized, though it could be a smidge bigger. When I put those two heads next to each other with their chins at the same level the top of Deadshot's head is even with the top of the fin on Adam Strange's head. I don't understand why the heads would be so dramatically out of scale with each other. I did throw the helmeted head from Ultimates Darkbird on the body and it looks pretty sharp...
