Feels good to just ignore this entire Superman wave. Zero interest in this Gunn version or the movie characters. Guaranteed to see that Chuck E Cheese puppet...err I mean whopping $50 kaiju at  Ross later. $37.99 for theatrical deluxe is going to be rough for Batman Returns wave. 😬

Found Power Girl + plat full wave case at Target. Then at another Target, full latest Collector Edition wave. Picked up Deadshot plat.

Still can't find that digital Two-Face!

Really liking the look of Metamorpho here.

I wonder if McFarlane plans to do stuff for Supergirl and Lanterns or if the license reverts to Hasbro by then.

I'm pretty sure I saw someone mention from one of the shows (Toyfair, or Wondercon) that they had figures for Supergirl coming up. I got the impression that Superman and Supergirl would be the last (modern) theatrical waves that they would be getting to, not counting stuff like Batman Returns.

@hbhfback they said they will do Supergirl. Easy head swap with current Woman of Tomorrow version.

I didn't realize that Mr. Terrific & Guy Gardner's outfits were so similar until I saw the Super Power figures for the Superman movie. I was watching the new BTS video and Hawkgirl's outfit is the same. They all seem to have the same logo on their chest which might be a J & L. I guess they have similar uniforms but match the style of their looks.

Superman figures look pretty good, not sure about surfs up Metamorpho but movie figures are rarely my thing. Excited for the movie though.

What did you say? I can't READ YOU!

JK - that sucks, Ninjak. Some websites have instituted ad shit like that and I just have to refresh the page to make it go away - or just stop reading that site. It's amazing to me that with all of our technological advances, we can't get stuff like that to work - or to not see the same three ads over and over and over on streaming shows.
….

Also, no sympathy for those who passed on B&R the first time - it was pretty clear that those figures were starting something. Also, they're good figures on their own - I wish Freeze had gotten his own trading card included with one of the figures so all five original posters were represented. So if people skipped that's on them. It's like people who didn't buy the first Jim Lee Rogue - "how was I supposed to know they'd make the rest of the team?!" Ummmm... use your brain?

First part is called enshittification. Expect it to get worse, at least until they figure a way to directly stream the ads into our dreams.

I dont really buy your logic for the second paragraph. This line is chock full of figures that one would expect but still haven’t been produced. Kingdom Come Batman came out years ago with no accompanying figure until now. Grifter has no teammates. Midnighter has no Apollo. We never got a Johnny Quick for the Crime Syndicate. The Justice League cartoon figures didn’t get the main 7. There was no follow up for the Teen Titans cartoon figures. We got one character from the Seven Soldiers of Victory. I could go on, but it seems evident to me that McF is not a line where one can easily read the tea leaves about future releases.

I liked the Battinson film itself, in figure form the suit never wow'ed me though.  I liked it slightly more than I did before watching the film.  I'd heard The Batman 2 got cancelled, not sure if it was around April Fool's or not.  I'm open to a sequel but the Joker looked the worst he ever has, in my opinion.  I'll probably see the Superman movie, but aesthetically none of the designs do anything for me.  Given that McFarlane is coming to the end of the license, I'm sticking to the comic-based figures I genuinely want like the Batman Returns line, and crossing my fingers for a few gaps filled in from Batman 89.

@misterskeezler Same here. I'm buying a lot of McFarlane DC stuff now because I figure that next year when the license goes to Mattel, I won't be buying too many DC figures anymore (if any at all). So I might as well get them now while I have the chance.

I don't buy a ton of Marvel Legends anymore either. Mainly because I have almost every Marvel character I could want.

So I guess around middle of next year I'll be spending about 90% less money on action figures. Which is probably a good thing.

A lot has changed since the last time I posted here.   Like you, I’m buying very few Marvel Legends.   At this point, I’m only interested in crossing names off my want list.   I think I’ve bought three figures so far in 2025:  Husk, Marrow, and Banshee.

Meanwhile, I seem to have a newfound appreciation for McFarlane’s DC Multiverse.   Those are the figures I’m most excited about getting and actively hunting.  Between that, Tariffpalooza, and the fact that I plan on retiring in six years, Mattel is really going to have to knock it out of the park for me to even think about collecting yet another DC line.

These comments, man... Not "Surf's Up" Metamorpho! LOL!

On a more serious note, I too am waiting for Returns Batman. I've always preferred the armorized look of that suit to the 1989 version. He might end up taking the place of my NECA 1989 Batman from over a decade ago.
