Got Deadshot from Gamestop today. Kinda laughing cos I wanted the not-chase and I got the chase. By way of good and bad chases, it's actually got a really nice color palette, so I'm not complaining, just find it funny that as the line's wrapping up and he's making a lot of characters I've wanted all along I still gotta chase the proper paint job. Though I'll probably not, the dark red and metal is nice enough I don't need to buy him twice.

It's funny.   I totally thought I wanted the regular versions of Deadshot and Adam Strange... but it turns out I actually prefer the platinum looks for both.   I did get the plat for Adam.. but I got the regular Deadshot.   I don't think I'll bother trying to find the platinum for ol' Floyd though.

I found a reg Deadshot at Walmart in a small clearance section. The box was completely crushed like someone stepped on it. Never seen a McF box so torn up like that. It was priced at 16.87 so I went for it. Turns out, his yellow gloves are a near match for Doctor Fate so now my Fate has two fists & a pointy hand.

I managed to get an order in for Walmart's Jim Gordon before it sold out 11 min later.  Batman Year One, I never actually saw come in stock.  I wasn't aware McFarlane's own site would be carrying these but those are all sold out too.  I don't know who's jittering in place for a generic middle aged looking man in a trenchcoat, but they're all gone unless they go in and out of stock throughout the day like when they release game consoles.

I didn't even know the Cyborg Superman was releasing in the 6pk cases from Entertainment Earth (sold out) , it's buried in the fine print on their page, so now I get to track down / overpay for that Red Platinum now too.

I wonder what internal organ I'll have to sell to get the Batman Returns wave.

When McFarlane Multiverse ends, it'll likely be where my DC collection finishes. I'm definitely not starting a 6" collection (aside from maybe large figures or others that can be fudged into the 7" collection), and I don't see a DC Collectibles thing starting up again. I was able to get a Jim Gordon, but I won't miss the crap with exclusives from this line.

Any other DC figures I want after that will have to be custom, and that's fine.

@misterskeezler Same here. I'm buying a lot of McFarlane DC stuff now because I figure that next year when the license goes to Mattel, I won't be buying too many DC figures anymore (if any at all). So I might as well get them now while I have the chance.

I don't buy a ton of Marvel Legends anymore either. Mainly because I have almost every Marvel character I could want.

So I guess around middle of next year I'll be spending about 90% less money on action figures. Which is probably a good thing.

I’m in wait and see mode on Mattel - I wouldn’t be surprised if they stuck with 7” figures as the rest of their mass market lines are at that scale. Not much I need though, at this point.

Been enjoying some of McFarlane’s more recent releases. Just love this Silver Age Supes in hand. Only took ‘em 6 years but at least they finally delivered.

Also got insanely lucky finding a plat Mr Terrific in the collector section at Walmart. The Walmart near me has had no McFarlane for years and randomly the whole Terrific wave (Grid and Baz plats as well) plus Deadshot and Adam Strange show up. Strange is the plat. I left Deadshot on the shelf because I ordered him from MTS with a $20 coupon, but I’m worried about it being fulfilled.

It’s been a nice run but I won’t be sad to see the exclusives go. Again got lucky and won the EQL for Starman/Damage but it’s crazy to have to go through that. Hope anyone who wants their 90s Cyborg Supes or Starman was able to get it from an EE case instead of paying the scalpers.

I missed out on Gordon and Bizarro both in the last 24 hours. I was more disappointed by missing Gordon than I was Bizarro since I have both of the previous versions of him. I won't miss this exclusive and chase nonsense.

For anyone interested, CMDStore got a lot of new DC figures in stock. I just placed an in stock order for KC Superman, Silver Age Two-Face, both Silver Age Doctor Fates, Starman Platinum, Damage Platinum and went ahead and picked up both the Digital Silver Age Superman and Platinum Mr Terrific while I was at it because they were on sale / marked down. I was disappointed that they were sold out of the Platinum Two-Face, but it is what it is. I was still thankful to get some of those other platinums.

I've purchased at least one version of every DC Multiverse character that McFarlane has made over the past half dozen years (including the mutliverse / alternate version stuff) but that collection is still dwarfed by my 6" Mattel DCUC collection which I by far prefer. I'm waiting to see what Mattel does with the line in terms of scale, but it's likely I'll sell off a large portion of my McF collection, probably only keeping what had never been made by Mattel or DC Direct. I STRONGLY prefer the 6" scale. I've held going to the 7" scale against McFarlane since Day 1 and have never really gotten over it. I've left most of my McFarlane product unopened because I've been so underwhelmed with how they display "loose," mostly due to the terrible proportions and no true sense of scale. I've still bought them because I love the IP so much, second only to Marvel.

I think I'll be more or less out on anything DC aside from Batman the Animated series if those keep running.  I'll see what Mattel makes for a Batman, but honestly I don't know that the level of detail will be better than McFarlane's.  I bought a large number of figures from the DC Multiverse line, like Starfire, who I have no attachment to and little knowledge about, simply because the sculpts looked cool.  I've never been a Superman fan, but I have 4 now.  I'm mostly Batman-centric, so there's really not much else I see myself wanting from Mattel.  The Batman Returns line is a highlight for me.  If Todd did even just a Nicholson Joker and no one else, I'd be pretty satisfied.

Having seen how The Question figure from McFarlane looks, it's kinda made me want a Dick Tracy line based on the movies, as a couple of the characters have varying outfits in the film (mostly single colored jack / jacket removed, hat / hat removed).  But as the Mezco's are based off the comics, I feel like it'd be niche enough for Todd to flourish.  Plus he's already made a tommy gun pack-in.

@stephenwdavis I got an order in too. I had that plat Two-Face in my cart with Doctor Fate, but went to add the digital Superman with the inflated $16 shipping price. When I was ready to pay, Two-Face went out of stock. Oh well, I'll find him later.

Finger on the trigger at 9am this morning and nothing-checked later and I guess Gordon had been and gone already. Having to work sucks - but Walmart ex's suck more.

Yeah, I wanted to get that Gordon and Batman, and I never saw them in-stock. I hope I can find them in-store. On the plus side, I did find SA Superman at Walmart tonight!

The going in reverse release order with the toylines for '89-'97 films was a mistake imo; more people would've bought the B&R figs to fill out the line if it was last, many people passed when they didn't know if Forever or the Burton films were coming, hence why Ivy is $$$ on the secondary market.

Just my opinion because I don't actually have facts, but I think you're wrong about this.

Firstly, the B&R line was actually very popular upon release and sold out quickly, and THAT'S why Ivy is $$$ on the secondary market, because she was hard to get hold of within weeks of the figures releasing.

Secondly, I think it was clever to go in reverse order, because the majority of collectors would want 89 and Returns the most. So this way McFarlane can sell B&R and Forever waves first to collectors who need to scratch an itch before the Burton waves come. Though what he didn't expect (and has publicly said) was just how well those Schumacher lines would sell.

I don't think the original Ivy will get a reissue, however there was a rumor going around early last year that there was a second wave of B&R figures to come, including Ice Suits of Batgirl, Robin, Batman, and Ivy in a new suit, plus a BAF of Bane, and a Redbird vehicle. That's just rumor of course, though it was from an Instagram account that's usually in the know. But things have changed since then of course, now McFarlane has changed movie figures to the new "Theatrical Deluxe" line. So even if these rumors were true, there might not be a BAF of Bane anymore, he could be just another figure.

Frankly wouldn't expect another Ivy, and full transparency there's never been anything to the few circulating it, but there won't be another B&R wave.

Though expect bigger waves in general, especially in the CE line

Is anyone else getting this freaking huge ad for Universal Orlando that covers up 90% of the screen and won't go away no matter what you do?? This happens to me every time I'm on the Fwoosh now and it makes it pretty much impossible to browse the forums.

This is what my screen looks like.
