It's crazy that McFarlane has me so close to caving and buying some of his figures.
Those Batman & Robin figures are so tempting.
If these were six inch scale or if they had led with a Catwoman from Batman Returns I wouldn't be able to resist.
The way that the scale has been moving (especially for classics), they really should use AC1000 or Page Puncher Supes as the default sculpt. Personally I love the Page Puncher, it's a really clean sculpt.
Still, I'm curious to see close up pics of Lord Superman. The head sculpt will make or break it for me.
Wow. SantaBats already delivered. I’m impressed.
Hasbro called, they want their painted on belt and straps back.
I've wanted a Justice Lords Superman for a long time...but that just looks underwhelming. Is the cape in a crazy dynamic pose? Are the fists oversized? Something just looks off about the whole thing.
However, that Poison Ivy is as good as bought as soon the link goes up.
It's basically just Eradicator with a different head
I guess the Eradicator sculpt means a proper S shield, yet they still painted over numerous inaccurate costume details. Definitely a pass for me.
The Batman 6 pack arrived from GameStop today. I think Brad the DCU Geek said it in a video but these Kilmer/Clooney figures are the best figures I never knew I wanted. Really superb. Great sculpts and likeness. Will be selling off Keaton and Batfleck...maybe Clooney too considering the price on the second market, and he's an easy replacement with another less expensive version on the way.
Is Kilmer's cape supposed to be black, or is it supposed to be the same color as his suit? Depending on the lighting it's difficult to tell in reference photos.

The painting over inaccurate sculpt definitely has to stop. I can live with a painted decal on Captain Atom if the figure looks good, but putting paint details that don't match the sculpted detail...just looks silly.

hey i'm interested in those figures you're going sell. what's your asking price?
@mysticmanjrf This is also like the 6th or 7th time they've done it with those boots. Feels like once would be frustrating but forgivable but by third time, seems like they should have tooled smooth shins.
A new head on that Poison Ivy and you have a classic comic one pretty easily.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'll be getting 2 Ivy's, so Uma can live on my movie shelf and I'll snag a custom Ivy head from online once someone starts making them. I'm SO happy they went with the basic green outfit for her instead of one of the more stylized "obviously from the movie" outfits.
The whole B&R wave looks very nice, and it's really great to see McFarlane start to hit his stride with the head sculpts. This was even a conversation point that he brought up 2 or 3 times during the Pixel Dan interview he did at Toyfair. The likenesses on the live action stuff has been rough at best since McFarlane started making DC stuff, so whatever they are doing now to nail them down better is certainly welcomed. Hopefully this means a potential Batman Forever or Batman Returns/Batman 89 wave of figures will have excellent sculpts. Very happy to perhaps see them nowish instead of 3 years ago when they definitely would have looked like ass (Cavill Superman says hello).
With Batman Forever, they'll most likely reuse the Sonar Suit from the 6pk but I hope they put out a variant of Batman with the Panther Suit. It wouldn't take too much retooling from the Clooney suit, I think the differences lie mostly in the belt and gauntlets, so they could reuse a lot of the Clooney outfit and add paint to the oval. A guy can dream, anyway. A Forever wave with Bane as the BAF would be fun, and they could easily do a Bat/Cat/Penguin/Max Schreck set from Returns with the big Red Triangle guy as the BAF (the one Batman straps a bomb to). That could be fun. Or forego the BAF and just put rocket launching penguin commandos in every package instead of figure parts.
My collecting habits have taken a major hit in the last few months, I've been collecting less and less. Hoping to see some new stuff from McFarlane soon, maybe pique my interest again outside of the movie stuff. The repainted reuse is fine in places, but it's been happening so frequently that I've just kind of fallen out with McF.

tbh, I’m glad it’s this and not Jason - assuming we do get Jason in a relatively easy way to pick up at some point.
