As for the cowl, like the 89 Batman, it should not be able to turn at the neck.  I get they want articulation, but the cowl you see on screen did not have it.  So giving it articulation sacrifices accuracy.  Strangely, I'm not bothered by it as much on the Begins as I am on the 89.  Maybe because Begins' mouth looks like Bale and 89's mouth doesn't look like Keaton, so at least it has something going for it?  I'm probably still going to pick up the Begins.

  

I'm not terribly bothered by it either, strangely. If I recall correctly, even the original Batman Begins figures from back in the day had neck articulation, at least the basic Batman that I had. I think even the NECA figure had a side-to-side swivel. It's definitely one of those "pick your poison" things- do you want screen accuracy, which would arguably make for a less cool toy, or a cooler toy at the expense of screen accuracy? 

If anything bothers me, it's the incorrect cowl. It still looks pretty good, I think, but definitely skews more as a hybrid than a true Begins batsuit. I'll probably still pick it up too, if only because I think that "Wolverine Batarang" hand is pretty cool. Might see how the old NECA figure scales alongside the other Multiverse figures and display that if the size discrepency isn't too large.

Quick question: which is the better Darkseid - the BAF with the cell-shading or the Megafig? I figure I need at least one villain on my JLA shelf. I don't really like the cape on the big one and I remember it doesn't come off easily?

@schizm This may vary by who responds, but for me it's the megafigure and it's not close. He has an arm that seems to fall off way to easy on mine, though.

Shazam-gate is finally over for me. Amazon delivered...the right one...stuffing it inside a box too small. Also like @jayjonah, I had previously contacted Amazon support about this double MSRP price. Was able to get a credit for the overcharge. 💪

@schizm I still prefer the Super Powers megafig, but I also have the cell shaded which doesn't affect him too badly. The cape doesn't come off unless you remove his chest emblem.

I keep hoping to find the platinum Captain Thunder version in the wild but haven't seen either version of this in a brick and mortar store yet. I received the regular version from Amazon that I pre-ordered on Day 1 quite some time ago. I still also haven't had any luck finding either version of Geo-Force at any local Targets nor a Platinum Lightning Lad at any of the local Walmarts. Those 3 Plats haven't ever gone up on McF's EQL page yet so I'll hold out hope until then, at least for now - I don't know if they even will be offered there. If I miss on those then I'll turn to ebay as a last resort.

@stephenwdavis I also have never seen a single Geo Force at any Target in my area. Luckily someone gave me the green and yellow platinum version for Christmas. However, I would also like the regular version, but not enough to pay nearly $50 for it on eBay.

Also, I watch a lot of toy hunting videos on YouTube, and a few of the guys I watch live in my general area and I've never seen any of them come across Geo Force either. Guess he never made it to my neck of the woods.

Thanks for the Darkseid feedback! I don't like the cape so I ordered the wave off Amazon, which is currently slightly discounted, so I'll decide when they get here tomorrow. Unless one of them arrives and is infrared. 🙄 

My Target has multiple regular Geo-Forces - the shipping for one in box is probably $10, but if anyone wants me to pick one up for cost + shipping lmk!

went by target this morning hoping to find the new begins wave but no luck.

however i found two of the platinum geo-force, so that's cool.

over the weekend i got the new movie batmobiles, forever and B&R at gamestop. i collected $150 in gift cards from both christmas and birthday so all i paid out of pocket was $63 bucks.

awesome cars though i feel like the forever batmobile looks too big, batman looks tiny inside. they should have made it a two seater.

the B&R is my favorite and i like they added a pair of grip hands for batman to hold the steering wheel. 

@kryptonian I ordered Guy Gardner x2 from GameStop hoping one of them is the Platinum. It says they're available February 12, so hopefully they'll ship in a couple of days.

@ninjak For what it's worth, the only Guy that I've seen in the wild was 3 total Guy platinums across 2 different Walmarts over the weekend. I never saw the standard version of him but only saw the standards of Cap Cold and Power Girl at those same two Walmarts.

Ah, and our journey begins. Legend was correct, for some, for Reeve Superman...will legend thus be told again with Powergirl? Our tale unfolds...

Mine isn't preparing for shipment yet, but it should be soon. 

@ninjak Yes, looks like they moved up the release date to 2/12 from 2/14 previously. 

Wondering when McF is going to officially announce the Begins wave. Targets are receiving them now.
