McFarlane circa 2025 in a nutshell.
One of my favorite DC characters in the classic Adam Strange, and one of the few characters that Mattel botched in DCUC. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this is only the second time we’ve received a figure of a classic Adam Strange, the first one being a semi-posable version from DC Direct.
“Collector’s Edition” with a $30 price tag. Yet another reuse of the Blue Beetle body with a newly sculpted head and ill fitting collar, jet pack, and holster. The boot tops should be pointed. If only McFarlane had a few dozen base bodies for a character with pointed boot tops that could be used for characters like the Atom and Adam Strange. If ONLY.
Yes, I’ll buy it, because, well…where else am I going to get a super posable classic Adam Strange figure? …and as usual, half of me will be happy I ordered the figure, and the other half will be ashamed that I continue to support lazy, half assed crap. Because that’s what most McFarlane DC Multiverse figures are. Equal parts great and half assed crap.
Someone…anyone…please take the DC license away from McFarlane and put me out of my misery, even if it means nothing but Superman and Batman figures for the next five years.
Not bad reveals, Adam strange looks great, classic deadshot is awesome. The flash and titano set looks good, clever reuse of the King Kong mold the joker is okay but pass.

I'll be getting all of Adam Strange, Deadshot and Flash/Titano, but will be skipping Batman and Joker. Titano is the highlight for me, even with Kong articulation.
So they revealed 2 out of the 3 figures in the next Collector's Edition wave. If memory serves, from prior leaks, the 3rd figure is the Year 2 Batman, version 2.
Makes sense they wouldn't showcase it here, so that folks would bite one more time on the original Y2 version, with the black/white accents. Notwithstanding that they couldn't even be bothered to fix the boots, it still looks pretty cool, might have to pick one up (Todd laughs in the background, as I fall for his evil plan...)
OK! Late to the party. I don't care about Titano, and I don't think I'll ever need another Batman or Joker (though I said that before the SA Joker came out and I'm staring at him on my desk) so pass on those. Adam Strange and Deadshot will be POs for me. I think I've just come to accept the weird McProportions.
I'm in for Deadshot for sure. Maybe Adam Strange too, but I'm not a big fan of the character, mostly because I'm not familiar with him other than what I've seen in animation.
Speaking of characters that I'm not all that familiar with, I got Icon from TMS delivered today. I think I used to read the original comic when it came out back in the '90's but I don't remember much about it. I do know enough to know that this figure isn't in his original costume. However, this look is… interesting. This costume kind of reminds me of the George Perez Wonder Man suit from Avengers #161. I actually loved that look, so I'm down for this version of Icon.

I stopped at my local Walmart today in Western PA and they had regular Power Girl, regular Captain Cold & platinum Guy Gardner in the Collectors/Electronics section. I picked up Guy since the regular figures are coming next week from MTS.
I went to 2 other local Walmarts & one of them had the same exact figures and the other had regular Lightning Lad & platinum Simon Baz. 3 months ago the same Walmart had platinum Lightning Lad & regular Simon Baz.
Thanks @tenzilkem! I'll be hitting all of Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, Walmart and some comic shops tomorrow on my weekly run. I'm still hoping to find a Plat Lightning Lad at Walmart, but am no longer optimistic. Still looking for a Captain Thunder in the wild also.

Honestly, suited Scarecrow doesn't look too exciting, doesn't look like he comes with anything. Strait jacket Scarecrow may have less screen time but it makes for a more interesting figure, IMO. The Begins Batman looks pretty solid. Todd did right by the Bale suits.
