Fleischer Superman sold out in LESS THAN A MINUTE on McF. Bundle is still up.
damn!! superman is selling out fast!
I guess no Icon today?
I canβt believe I ever paid for a platinum membership on MTS. Went to the site at 11:57am EST and Superman sells out in my cart. The last two preorders had figures selling out by 12:01pm EST, why have a premium program for buying figures on your site if they arenβt even available?
Had planned 2 separate orders with $20 coupons for Superman and Tempest. Superman was for a buddy. Begrudgingly getting Tempest to complete the modern Titans because heβs the only one missing now. I hate supporting this company. At least he only cost me $9.72 shipped.Β
Icon is showing up on GameStop's website, but when you try to order one it says it's not available. Same with Superman, Dark Flash, and Tempest. They must not be uploaded completely to the site yet.
What's funny is that Superman, Dark Flash and Tempest are listed at $24.99 and Icon is $22.99. And on BBTS Superman, Tempest and Dark Flash are all $22.99. Don't know why GS jacked up the price $2.
I didn't play around and I went straight to BBTS and PO'd 2 Superman and let it go at that.
Icon is the one I want most.Β What's the deal with Icon? Wasn't he supposed to be a McFarlanetoysstore exclusive?Β Why's he at Gamestop and not able to be purchased?
Looks like there's a case of these on EE with Nightmaster from Shadowpact: https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/dc-multiverse-wave-20-7inch-scale-action-figure-case-of-6/mf17360a
Β
Looks like he's 2X per case, so maybe not a chase?
I received a email from MTS 34 minutes after the figures went on sale. There is a link for Icon, but it says it is unavailable. If you click on Icon on the Gamestop website, it says it can't find the page. Hope this link works.
Β
@tenzilkem Thanks for the link.Β Took a while with plenty of refreshing of the website to get an order through but it worked.Β Had to order 3 cause I'm cheap and didn't want to pay shipping.

You were able to order Icon?
Β
I was able to pre-order Icon on Gamestop.com. It said "Not Available" but I clicked on it was successfully able to pre-order. I thought that this was going to me a McFarlaneToyStore exclusive, but maybe it's just Gamestop instead?

Hmmmm, definitely going to want Nightmaster but not enough to order this case.
Update: I went ahead and pre-ordered it anyway. LOL! There's a sucker born every minute, I guess. The rationale that I gave myself is that I want Dark Flash, Nightmaster and Tempest and as fast as that Supes seems to be selling out that I'll probably easily be able to sell both Supes and the other Nightmaster for at least break-even. Honestly I have no idea if that will really be true.

Must everything be the diaper?Β
As someone who has taken these figures apart, yeah.Β It's bare-minimum plastic under there.Β But, if you mean, "does the diaper have to look crappy all the time" then no.Β JADA Cammy comes to mind.Β McF diapers always come down too low and makes figures like Power Girl look dumpy as heck. I bet you could trim some off and it would look better; but who wants to risk ruining their $30 toy that way?Β Cutting a curved line on a curved piece of plastic cleanly is borderline impossible.Β You really have to draw a line, carefully remove them, and sand them with a dremel.Β And then you run the risk that it's not tight on her hips, because for whatever reason, Todd thinks girls wear briefs.
Powergirl has no upper body movement, so without the diaper-style articulation and given the usual ML-style female setup, she'd have no torso movement at all.Β There isn't a world where Todd adds a lower ab crunch to these figures, it would throw off the πΆππππ½πππΎπΈπ

The aesthetics of having two large plastic "bolts" in every hinge joint.Β You make for a glowing review of what we get for our $30 and some hassle trying to get this.Β Not only that but would anyone want to risk altering a $30 figure that you'll likely never see again for less than $60?Β Seeing her diaper, I'm met with "at least it doesn't have a crotch potato like Catwoman" but alas that's short shrift in terms of praise for anything.Β Honestly, I can't speak for anyone but I think if he was to release pelvis' closer to what DC Universe Classics had more people wouldn't see it as an issue (and I don't think those are perfect by any means).Β But the diapers being rubbery as they are means A: they may disintegrate over time and with movement, and B: as I've already seen with one of my Batman figures I tried to keep in a crouch, the diapers will warp unless you keep them posed in a milquetoast pose most of the time.Β Likewise, I don't know how many other iterations of PowerGirl we're likely to get anyway after this.
