Wow... I just happened to hit BBTS at exactly 9 am for Power Girl... I would not have suspected she would sell out that fast. I do suspect she will be more widely available during the in-stock window as these things tend to be. I remember this business with with Starfire and Huntress both. It's usually because of the people who buy a case worth to ensure they get a Platinum and then return a handful of the regular version.
Also, with BBTS - they sell out super fast because they only presell to the percentage of regular figures they expect to get in their cases. They then pick out the Platinums and sell those at a higher price later - they do not randomly fulfill orders with Platinums the way Amazon does - although, the chance for a Platinum may be why Amazon sells out so fast as well.

Happily POed all three at BBTS. I'm glad to have no interest in the Platinum editions this go 'round.
Pro tip if you're trying to buy through Gamestop - their browser site wouldn't let me complete the transaction but I switched to the app and it did. Not sure if this is effecting everyone but this is two orders in a row (I snagged Reeves Superman through them last week) where their website was useless. Need to remember that going forward.
I was all set up on Mcfarlane to order the bundle and by 12:01 pm the figures were still not showing up on the website. McFarlane usually post like a minute or two before the sell time. I thought maybe they were only EE or BBTS. I went over to EE to order and then I checked back on McFarlane and they appeared and Guy & Cold were sold out. This was only a few minutes after they went up. I wanted to get the bundle so I ordered it quickly and got it. The total seemed off and then I noticed the price was equal to the price of 4 figures. When I refreshed the bundle was sold out. I checked EE, BBTS and GS and each one had at least one figure sold out.
I emailed McFarlane about the price to see if they would correct it and am waiting to hear from them. The price is now corrected on the website after being sold out. I also got an email telling me about the figures 15 minutes after they went on sale. Wouldn't it be more helpful to receive the email before they go on sale instead of after they sell out?
Whelp, I had a meeting so sold out all over the place. I did manage to get PG and CC from GameStop, but had to order Guy from Best Buy.
I was able to get all 3 pre ordered on BBTS. I can't believe how fast Power Girl is selling out. It is a really nice-looking figure though. Hopefully, her pre orders selling out so quickly inspires Todd to do more females more often.
There are so many great female characters to make. I don't know if Todd would ever do it, but I know in the DCUC's line I always wanted Manhunter Kate Spencer.
Looks like I was correct about the white legs on variant PG. Gonna grab the regular versions of her and Guy once they show up here.

There's some huge, obvious gaps he could easily cover like Black Canary, an actual comic style Harley, Ivy, Zatanna, Hawkgirl etc. I wonder how much of it is pushback regarding in-store impulse sales vs. online preorders.
Power Girl selling out in minutes but more women are still unfeasible because they don’t sell as well as whatever d-list villain Todd has latched onto today.
If Mcfarlane does make more female figures, they will probably end up being platinum and hard to find.

Maybe Todd can/has finally acknowledged that all his opinions on what little boys want from their action figures is moot when your primary customer base is adults.

Agreed...Huntress is the only recent female figure that I've seen on a peg at a store, the rest I had to order online. Which tells me they must be selling extremely well in stores, as well as in preorders. In the case of WW, I had to pay extra when BBTS put her up for a short time. Maybe if females were as numbered as the males, you'd see more peg warmers and Todd's statement would be correct; as it is, though, with making so few the collectors get a bit starved for them and every female sells out immediately fast.
Black Canary, Ivy, and Harley would sell like gangbusters if they were basic comic versions. Same for Zatanna.
As for today's orders, I went through Gamestop instead of my usual stop at BBTS...after finding out the Reeve/Platinum Reeve thing was apparently true, I decided to test out the theory with these and ordered 2 PG's from them. If I get one of each, hell yeah, but if I get 2 of the regular then I obviously won't have an issue selling one.
