The only thing about Power Girls' Platinum version when she put on the jacket she lost the swimsuit look.
I don't think I'd seen this look before, but I like this so much better than her classic one. I'd go further and give her pants or make the legs a totally different color to make it seem more pants-like. Catsuits are for spies and thieves; pants are for brawlers. I like the idea of PG being the brawler of the Super-family.
What time is PG and the others supposed to go up for preorder today?
I usually log into BBTS at 8:59am Pacific and refresh every 10 seconds or so until they appear on the main page. Then click, checkout, done.
I’m definitely good with pants on Power Girl, but hoo doggy do I hate the “jacket not cape look” on any Super-folks except Connor. I’m sure I will grab the Platinum anyway, but I’m glad the classic is the basic figure, instead of the Mr Terrific situation.
For anyone who has redeemed points on the McFarlane Toys Store website, can you actually use more than $20 at a time? I have over 1000 points which translates to about $80 of credit, but they only seem to let you redeem in $10 or $20 increments for one unique code and if I remember right, you can only use one code per purchase. So I believe that if you use a code from those redemption points that you can't also use the MTS10 code as well. Is that right?
That $80 would almost pay for the 3 figures going up today (especially if they're in a bundle) if I could use it all at once, but I don't think that is how it works. Thanks for any insights that you can offer.
Update: It doesn't matter. MTS priced the bundle more expensive ($101.96) that buying the 3 figures separate. I'm sure that's a mistake and will eventually be corrected, but just went ahead and pre-ordered at BBTS instead. It just sucks because this was one rare time when I wanted all of the figures in the bundle. LOL, the mispriced bundle still sold out in under 10 minutes!
Ordered my standard Power Girl from BBTS, easy peasy. No interest in the rest and definitely not into the Platinums this time.
For future purchases, you can only use one 20 dollar code per purchase and can’t combine it with the MTS10 Code
@tmntfanatic Yep, that's what I expected. Thanks! It didn't end up mattering today because MTS priced the bundle of the 3 figures at $101.96 for some reason which is more than the $89.97 they would have cost on their own. It's like they thought there was a fourth figure in there. And it still sold out in under 10 minutes!
Powergirl sold out on BBTS and Amazon in like four minutes. Todd, you numpty, stop saying women action figures don't sell. Literally the only figures I've had trouble preordering have been female characters and it's such an annoyance with this line. EDIT: PG wiped out on MTS too. Feels like he's leaving money on the table every time this happens.
Ordered these on BBTS because the bundle and individual listings sold out IMMEDIATELY on the McFarlane Store. I've been refreshing the DC page the last hour because I knew they were going up quickly and wanted to buy them. Very annoying since I have a $20-off code.
Can't even FIND Power Girl on Amazon - would you mind sharing the link?
Also, for those of us who collected DCUC, it's super ironic to see Power Girl and Captain Cold sell out anywhere. Those two were probably the biggest pegwarmers I can think from like 2009 to 2011. I remember seeing them everywhere then and even some stranglers at a Kmart in like 2015.
I managed to order all three at BBTS. I was sitting in front of my computer at noon and they didn't come up on MTS. So I jumped over to BBTS and ordered all 3 and went immediately back to MTS and they all were already sold out. Crazy!
LOL, I love that I get the email from McFarlane ToyStore at 11:16 announcing the pre-order, long after they're already fully sold out. I did get my order in at BBTS before they sold out there, though.
