To be fair, there's 30 years difference between those 2 Todds.
Again, that is totally fair but to me it feels the same as if a guy was going through a midlife crisis up and decided, "Hey hope you don't mind, but I've kind of been in the mood lately to divorce my hot young wife because I've been feeling nostalgic over my great grandfather. So I'm just gonna bounce if that's okay...?"
That statement doesn't really make sense, like at all.
It's going to be hard to pass on that Power Girl, she came out looking good.
Begins Batman has the same issue as the Keaton, the head should not be able to turn. For some reason the Begins still ends up looking OK even with the articulation that wasn't there in the actual film. I'm really happy with the Hong Kong platinum Bale Batman, but I'm probably getting this one too.
Also the Fleisher Superman.
Also the Captain Cold.
Yeah, this is a good showing.
Though he's in my POL at BBTS, I have yet to see Reeve Superman in person. One of my big apprehensions is that (on video, at least) he looks very plastic-y. Has anyone hit this guy with a mate finish?
I don't know... finally opened the classic Wonder Woman to fill out my 90s JLA and I like the power in the legs.
BTW - is it normal to have trouble getting the pegholes into the pegs? They don't seem to fit very well together, across the line. Or am I just outta practice?
Power Girl looks to have no upper torso movement unless it is at the waist.
Glad I held off on buying that earlier Captain Cold. Definitely prefer this version of Snart.
Power Girl is a preorder for me too, though I really wish they'd get better at the diaper look on these figures - it's particularly noticeable on her. And I was just thinking the last few figure I'd opened it had improved a lot (Wildcat, Lightning Lad are both pretty streamlined).
@therealsmallville I usually like to give BBTS my business but I literally shipped with them three times in ten days because I'm a doofus, so thanks for the tip on Gamestop. If I order from BBTS one more time in January I'm going to need an intervention. And by intervention I mean my GF is going to be like WHAT are you DOING
(EDIT: You sold me on giving Gamestop a shot with buying two. They had a Grayson figure I've been meaning to pick up, too, so I added for free shipping. If they send me a duplicate Reeves I've got a friend who would really appreciate one as a thank you for some work he did for me so if I end up with two normal ones, the other will have a good home.)
Ah, well I hope they hook you up! And at least there's still a good home for it if they don't. I'm a vendor at a local toy show twice a year, so I figured it was a good roll of the dice because I could just add it to stock if I got 2 of the regular. I think I'll have to try it again in the future the next time there's a platinum I want.
Good luck! I hope they hook you up!
At least now we would know what Tori Spelling could look like dressed as Power Girl.
I'm hoping that Power Girl comes with alternate face plates. I'll be buying that whole wave, regardless. I wonder what the platinum versions will be... Guy as a Red Lantern would probably make sense, or his "Warrior" look. I'm having a slightly harder time envisioning what they might do for Captain Cold and Power Girl.
I shipped my BBTS Pile of Loot today that includes Silver Age Batman/Ace, Simon Baz, Mr Terrific, Flashpoint Batman vs Zoom and Masterverse Skelcon. Those all came in within the past week after I had my last Pile of Loot shipped a week ago. This usually means something would definitely hit the pile of loot tomorrow almost by rule, but although I have 24 items still on pre-order, I honestly can't imagine that any of them come in this month. It actually feels safe this time!

I'm assuming (and hoping) that Guy's Platinum is just his 90's black leather jacket and blue jeans look, from right after he lost his GL ring and before he was Warrior. From memory I don't even think it needs additional tooling, just a new paint job to black and a gold G to replace the GL logo. One of my favorite covers from the 90's was an issue of Action Comics during 'Reign of the Supermen' where Guy Gardner (no hero name) is fighting the "Last Son of Krypton" (Eradicator).

I've never been a Guy guy, but if that's the case I might be down for it. IF I see it for retail. There's no circumstance where I put effort or extra money into this character.
I talk crap about McFarlane figures a lot, but the newest Damien Robin is a neat little figure. Finally got him and he’s fun in hand, although the leg pops off at the hip pretty easy.
For all the other recent figures I have several complaints, but I’ll just keep my harsh criticisms to myself.
