Notified by EE that Christopher Reeve Superman x 2 has shipped. Hopefully both are the regular version. I wanted one to open. I don't usually open the movie figures.

Trying to stay patient on a page punchers Capt. Marvel. All the reviews seem to indicate he is nay on perfect. Big Marvel family fan and bummed missed the PO’s for this one. Every other Page Puncher is still available bar this guy- typical. I’m weak and will resort to eBay.

I opened BVS Wonder Woman.  I was looking forward to this one, but it might be my most disappointing figure of the year.

The head is probably the best of the three Gadot efforts they've done so far, it's painted well.  But the skin tone of the head does not match the body.  It looks like she has caked-on makeup.

The accessories are garbage.  The sword is gummy like every shafted accessory Todd does these days, the handle is the proportionate size of a pop bottle.  The shield does not fit on her arm in any way shape or form, it just dangles if it's at a 90% angle, if it's less than that it just falls off.  No one involved gave any sort of $#!% about this being functional and it wouldn't have been hard to do or cost any extra.

The legs look better than before but the ankles are as useless as the last two versions.  No attempt to improve this the third time around.

I would love to keep buying domestic action figures--McFarlane, Hasbro--I don't want to pay $100 a pop on a regular basis for 6" figures that really offer no groundbreaking innovation that their domestic counterparts don't offer.  But the consistency between what these companies put effort into and what they really don't give a $#!% about is getting to be a bummer.  When you end up with a dud, it's not because they were trying some ambitious new innovation that didn't work out.  (If that were the case I'd at least give points for trying.)  No, when we get a dud it's because the company just doesn't care.

Hmmm, that’s a shame. Manufacturing the different parts on different lines you would hope that they would communicate and source identical paints for flesh tones. Unfortunately not the first and probably not the last but a shame non the less. I was hopeful this would be ‘the’ GG Wonder Woman for my shelf.

Yep I've heard that excuse before for both McFarlane and Hasbro products.  Whether it's fan speculation or the actual reason, that excuse is not good enough.  Fix your problems, toy companies.  Act like you care.

I want to be hopeful for that classic Wonder Woman, but with how the first appearances of Batman and Superman turned out... I'm not going to hold my breath, lol.

Probably a bit early in the year for this, but has there been any rumors of DC and McFarlane Toys adding another extension to their licensing agreement? Last I knew it was set to end later this year, and honestly? I kind of hope it does. Don't know who I would want to take McFarlane's place when it comes to the primary action figure licensing, but I'm sure there's a company out there capable of handling it.

Any word when PowerGirl is preorderable?  I'm on the fence still, but assume she will be the one to sell out first.

The company you're looking for is Jada.

@yojoebro82 Been on a bit of a McFarlane buying streak with holiday sales this past month (and the Superman trailer got me hyped on DC stuff) and it's honestly cemented in that I'd love to see someone else take a stab at it.  Jada's style and even release process would be a perfect fit. Not sure if they're big enough to be on DC/WB's radar, but I'd restart my entire collection if they took over.

Count me in on the hope that Jada gets the license down the road. I'd love a line that fits in with DCUC & ML, and I really think they'd do a far better job that McF has so far...not that this is a bar that would be difficult to get over.

Todd's line has been as inconsistent as you can possibly get, in my opinion. Some have been fantastic, but most are in the mediocre-to-terrible range. Adding in the general frustration with his "Platinum" BS, and it just really makes me want to see this license go elsewhere.

Yeah, I was so enamored with the line when it first kicked off, particularly with his White Knight stuff, but I recently reorganized what I've got so far (more than I realized) and it doesn't feel unified or consistent as a collection. Individually there's some cool standalone figures but the line lacks the sort of consistency (artistic, stylistic, mechanically) that I'd love to see from a DC line.

On a whim I just ordered Hawkman from Amazon and was wondering if there was a chance in heck I might get the chase. Making classic color schemes as chases (side-eye Mr. Terrific) smacks of weird collector baiting. Got to envisioning what Jada might do with this and I bet we see a very standard trinity in wave one and a bunch of repaints (black/gray, blue/gray, all black Batman for instance) very rapidly like they did with Street Fighter.

I think that's why I've come to like Todd's Super Powers line infinitely more. They're not as dynamic as I'd like but core characters, relatively easy to get, with a slew of optional repaints is a fun way to collect.

3-4 figure waves.  No gold, platinum, red platinum, collector, auction, retro, BAF nostalgia bait gimmicks.  Functional articulation and innovative design features.  Accessories that enhance the figure at no extra cost.  I don't often speak for everyone, but EVERYONE would start their collection over if Jada handled any comic license the way they are handling Street Figurer......oh.....it's a beautiful thought.

Like many others have stated, there are some McFarlane figures that I've absolutely loved, but in general I'm not at all happy with the line and would like to see the license land elsewhere. I'd prefer a return to the 1/12th scale or something closer to that at least with a company that actually cares about scale somewhat.

With that being said, I highly doubt there's any type of change. I'm expecting that both DC and McFarlane are happy with their partnership and there will be an extension.

In regards to Jada, they're killing it with their Street Fighter line but I'd expect that they'd have some capacity issues with producing DC figures at the volume and frequency that we're used to. Any type of attempts to upscale to meet that would like include quality control issues, at least in the beginning. While I'd like to see what they could do, I'd expect that a return to Mattel would be more likely. However it's all likely a moot point if both DC and McFarlane are happy with their current arrangement.

I'll join everyone on the Jada dream.  Not sure they could scale up production to necessary levels, but if they could I'd be a happy camper.
