I just got the newest PP Damian Robin myself and, holy crap, it somehow feels so premium. All new sculpt (no, it reuses arms and legs from the gray Damian) with so many paint hits and a decent new accessory in the Pyg mask. Plus the headsculpt is just so on point. I mean, wow, it's like we're back to the good old days of Todd's DCM.
Been trying to get hold of this guy- had him on pre-order, was cancelled, managed to order one but got lumped with nonsensical platinum edition that no one seems to want that I then had to ebay to just get my money back (seller was not going to pay for me to return a figure that looked nothing like the one they had listed). Tried ordering from China, and three different sellers each failed to even try to send anything.
Does Todd do stuff like this just to annoy people? He finally makes a really good Robin figure, but then chooses to make in low quantities, and then floods the sets with variants for a comic based character that look nothing like him in the comics. I mean when you've produced something like this, and compare it with half the rubbish that gets sent to retail, if you cannot realise this was going to be desired then making good figures is just pure luck at this point. I honestly give up on this line.
It's all ego. He thinks it's cool so collector's are stuck with this ridiculous model. I had missed out on this Robin. My amazon order got changed from a definite due date to a "you'll get it when you get it" date. I happened by one on BBTS by chance, someone dropped it from their POL. It's a good figure....the kind Todd wants to make purposefully hard to get.
I'm in that Amazon limbo for Damien. Hope it's just them receiving their shipment late. I think other collectors only just started getting him in from local distributors and stores.

They're never great, but they seem to really slow down this time of year when they do their holiday sales. Last year I had multiple in stock orders that I placed during the first half of December that they didn't ship until early February. I've noticed that their sales are nowhere near as good this year and that might be because they couldn't keep up with the volume last year.
Got my hands of Freeze finally as well, the BTAS variant looked too good to pass on. And yeah, it's even nicer in hand, I actually really liked the figure. My only gripe would be his baby hands and the fact that they didn't paint all the blues with that nice metallic color of his shoulder pads.

Did McFarlane just stealth release the best classic comic Batman ever?
He did IMO. Holy sh!t I love this Batman figure. This is what I’ve been wanting since this line started.
Now I know a lot of people like the cloth capes, but I am not a fan of soft goods on 1:12 scale figures, so I am extremely happy this figure has a plastic cape. And the head-sculpt is just spot on perfect. Plus I love the dark shading on the forehead and around the eyes. I also love the color scheme of this figure with the gray and dark blue, and the yellow oval symbol.
This release was just so unexpected and totally caught me off guard. Too bad it’s a HTF Platinum release. I had to grab a couple of them off of eBay at around $40-$50, but considering I paid more than that retail for the recent Norm Breyfogle figure, I think this is totally worth it. I’ll buy a couple of more if I actually ever see them at retail (which is highly unlikely around my scalper heavy area).
@ninjak I’m not a fan of soft goods capes either. As Robo would say, they’re too “fidgety”. I can never seem to get them to fold right for static poses or storage. I have OCD with those things.
I’m definitely picking up that Batman….if I see it.
That Batman has a plastic cape because I would say to get the cape comic accurate McFarlane's team had to use a plastic cape. It would be very hard to get a soft goods cape to do those folds at the shoulders. This Batman is rumored to be in the case pack out with Batman Beyond, Noel Batman and 1950s Batman. I have the case pre-ordered. Spawn Batman looks ok, nice cape and headsculpt but looks like the Hush thunder thighs again.
BATMAN/KONG set was delivered today, and I love it. Just the fact that this exists, blows my mind.

Anyone else annoyed when they see those Ross store hunt posts on other sites?! Maybe because never see any DC Multiverse at any of the Ross stores I visit, so I just don't go anymore. The stock & what you'll find is literally so random. 🤔
