For whatever reason, that headsculpt combined with the oversprayed front of his torso bring the word "disgusting" to my mind. Blah! I hate it.

I don’t know why seeing these 2 figures put me over the edge, but it did. I’ve tried so hard to like and support this line because I love these characters so damn much, but I can’t do it anymore. You have to actively try to make your figures look this bad.

Seriously, Wildcat isn’t even using the same headsculpt as what was shown in the NYCC render, 6 friggin weeks ago. They somehow keep finding ways to top their own incompetence.

Wildcat’s sculpt is growing on me.  The overspray is not.  It just kills Todd not to fudge with simple costumes.

Wow! it's taken me months to finally be able to log back in here... for some reason the system wasn't letting me answer the math question.

Anyway! What's up with that Wildcat head? Has he EVER looked like that, with a weird angular style and no lower 'cat-face'? I've been pretty lenient on some sculpts and bough them anyway, but this one is really missing the mark.

Orion is ok, but I think his helmet is slightly off too. A little too much exaggeration.

Huh. I think Orion and Wildcat look great. I mean yeah I could do without the overspray on Ted’s chest, but other than that . . . I dig em.

Digging Orion and Wildcat. I'm just glad that they are both Target exclusives and not Walmart. I seem to have more trouble finding Walmart exclusives than I do Target. Usually anyway.

Wildcat’s eyes have an Island of Dr. Moreau vibe.

Orion's head looks decent enough to me. A little more downturned than I'd prefer but it didn't stand out as too wrong.

Wildcat's head is just completely wrong, at least from that angle. The cat cheeks are either too flat or too low or too boxy or...something. If it's a more modern comic portrayal and it's spot on to that then I just don't care for it at all.

@ibentmyman-thing  Yeah, I think the cheeks/whiskers should be rounded/oval, elevated, and gray.  Also, he has Catwoman ears.  You can find reference pics with the ears like that, but most of the time, they’re either pointed up or they’re folded like they were in the NYCC 2024 panel slide.

I think the sculpt in and of itself looks pretty cool, but it’s not easy to reconcile it with what I think of when I think of Wildcat.

As usual with this line, it’s one of those “gotta see it in hand” deals for me.

Might be a situation when we get Wildcat with 2 different headsculpts. But I agree, the fact that the cat lips are flat instead of puffy is throwing everything off for me.

Okay, if these two don't go up on the website then I'm officially done with the comic portion of McFarlane. I have one Target in my area and the next one is an 1 1/2 hour drive. I'm not going out every weekend to hunt. I couldn't get Geo Force so if this is the same then I'm done. I have about 30 other lines I collect and they seem to want my money. McFarlane not so much. Besides that has to be the worst depiction of Wildcat I have ever seen.

I like that Orion a lot, actually. The New Gods have designs that I think you can bend a little more or push a little further and it works for them because they exist on such a grand stage. It's not exactly a Simonson Orion but I think the helmet probably draws from his work on the character. (Here's a Michel Fiffe post I love about Simonson's work on the book.)

Wildcat...Well, I like that the overspray lends him some Lisa Frank magic. I could see him on a school binder, sure.

Well, I never did get the Platinum Green Lantern Corps figure.  And I wasn't really wanting to pay the $90 or more that it goes for.  But I found someone selling it for $59.99 on Ebay and I bought it.  I already have Tomar and Abin Sur on individual bodies and even have a 3rd regular Green Lantern Corps figure to put Green Man's head on in the event I ever got the Platinum.

So, at last, I will have all available Lanterns once again.

Is the figure really going for that much? There's a Best Buy near-ish to me that's been sitting on 3 or 4 of them for months now. Of course, having said that, I'm sure I'll go there and they'll be gone, but if anyone is still in need and they're still there when I go back next, I'll grab 'em for you.
