@bat1975 it really doesn't lol. Because that is the same exact methodology I used to tell myself why my order was late in processing.
I totally get what you mean. Shazam kind of looks like a statue when standing in a neutral pose like that. A very old, very dated statue. But that kind of makes sense. In a weird way, Shazam still acts like his 1940's persona, straight out of the pages of his comic book at the height of the golden age of Fawcett Comics. And no matter how many reboots or updated origins the character receives, he is still at heart young billy batson who is all like "Golly gee willickers it looks like crime is afoot! I guess it's time for me to be Captain Marvel! SHAZAM!!!!"I feel like Shazam lacks something to be called a truly great action figure - I just can't put my finger on what that thing is.

Usually these things are the headsculpt. Technically good; just lacking that last little element of ... it. All art works this way. 25% more CC Beck would likely have done it. Prob lose the white in the lightning bolt too.
🤢
I've never played JLTF. Is this some kind of game shading, like during a big move or power-up mode?
They applied a burned status to those figures for whatever reason.
On a side note, looks like Cheetah and Despero are also in the game, could be a nice opportunity to release those in a possible 2nd wave. Plus, rerelease the classic WW and Longbow GA as well to save on tooling because those are the looks from the game.
My fear was the platinum editions for that JL video game wave would be standard colors that I would want and not be able to find. I can rest easy on this one.
I just watched dhunter's review of BvS Wonder Woman and it bummed me out. Better head, yes. That's where the good stuff ends, I'm afraid. The wrists and ankles are still a disaster. Those weapons....GOD! The sword is a wet noodle (like all of his swords, spears, hammers, canes, axes have been lately), the shield flops around on her wrist and looks like crap. She's still huge next to the rest of the JL, scaling is all over the place. The standard for "adult collectible" figures is getting lower and lower for these domestic companies. I've said before that I appreciate the Snyder JL and I'm searching for the best representation of that team in figure form. I honestly don't think Todd's are any better than the Mattel stuff I already have, so why bother? My only option for a noticeably better upgrade is to go with Mafex which would cost $500-$600 to complete the team. No happy medium, I guess.
(Can someone point me toward a decent 3rd party Henry Cavil head that would fit on a Mattel figure? That's really my biggest gripe about the Mattel set. Seriously. Mattel made four 1/12th scale Cavil Superman figures with four different heads and each one is bad in its own unique way.)
This company is always good for a few boneheaded decisions. At least the whole Task Force wave is one of them so I don’t have to worry about comic accurate chase figures.
Not sure why they decided to go with a totally different neck and arms on the Page Puncher Reeves. Should just be one figure with proper sleeve cuffs and alternate hands. Makes me want to cancel my order for the original Reeve, but I think he’ll be hard to get.
I desperately want to believe that these video game figures mean that we are just one step closer to getting those evil hardlight hologram constructs of the JLA from the "Rock of Ages" storyline by Grant Morrison. I want those so freaking bad. 😫
I picked up the Mr. Bloom / Rookie 2-pack at Target yesterday for $20. Also the Joker / Punchline 2-pack for $27. So if you've been holding out for a clearance sale on either of those, you might want to check your Targets.
I went in my local Wal-Mart today and they had 2 each of the Wal-Mart Gold Label Superman and Green Lantern figures. I had already picked up Green Lantern a week or so ago but have been looking for this Superman. So, I was psyched to see him today.
Picked one up, and I really like it.
Also, ninjak. That was a killer price on the Rookie and Mr. Bloom set.
Saw the Walmart Gold Label Hal today for the first time and decided to pass. Saw platinums of E2 Supes, Combined Batman/Superman and Bullseye Bats but decided to pass on all.
Breyfogle Batman arrived today. A lot to like, including the plastic preposed cape and a good amount of accessories. The wired cape, however, is a total dud. It’s basically a recreation of the preposed cape so forget about it laying flat or being in any kind of a static pose. I ended up swapping it out for a cape from one of my Mezco Batmans and now I might have my ultimate dark blue and gray Batman.
Got my throne Zack Snyder Darkseid today in the mail. Be careful, there are two flimsy GPS looking hooked tabs used to affix the lenticular flame backdrop to the throne. One was broken out of the box on mine. The throne is extremely flimsy. I see Todd takes back unopened items within 30-days but anyone have any experience returning damaged items for replacement? Considering the price this set seems pretty lackluster. I glued the tab back on but there are still stress marks all over the hooked section
