@tenzilkem I can't comment on Dr. Fate, but for Captain Marvel/Shazam the mix of gold and yellow is accurate.
Accurate to what? Anytime I've seen Shazam the color has been consistent, either yellow or gold.
Mattel has made a Hector Hall Dr. Fate, the gloves & cape are yellow and the rest is gold.
I don't see a hood on Shazam's costume. But he has a white logo so I take it this is a new spin on a classic design? Similiar to Superboy and Jay Garrick? And I bet its pretty safe to assume that the platinum variant will sport the yellow lightning bolt on his chest instead of white.
It’s based on the Dawn of DC Shazam run, where they got rid of the New 52 costume in favor of a look closer to the classic design.
Got the Joker today. Pretty fun figure. What exactly is the logic of 4 right hands to 1 left hand. Add to that the only "free standing" accessory is his cane which would need to be in his left hand if you want to use the fish or the cards. The left hand is a good hand for doing the "Putting on the Ritz" pose with the cane under the armpit; but little else.

I'm sitting here at 5:42am in the dark with a bowl of cereal and toy news as is my morning routine. It's the most restful part of my day. I got the email saying my Joker was delivered too. I assume he's been sitting outside all night. I was checking my front door until pretty late in the day yesterday, but this will happen if your mail carrier routinely doesn't hit your house until 9pm or later. Well.......let's go check it out.....
Stopped by Wal-Mart last night for some things, went to the toy aisle, and it looked like they got new McFarlane DC in. When I get to the pegs...it's a case of Knightfall Nightwing and Shriek Unmasked. Amazing. Those are going to be there forever. Has this happened in anyone else's store recently?

I went to a Walmart today and they had 6 Knightfall Nightwings on the shelf. Most of the Walmarts I go to have Batman (Dick Grayson), Batman (Adam West), Batman (Bullseye), Batman (Flash movie), Hugo Strange, Vampire Shazam & Max Mercury. Also, Super Powers Black Manta, Booster Gold, Guy Gardner & Metamorpho.
At a Target a few days ago they had a fresh case out on their carts that I asked them to open. It was 2xBooster Gold, 2x Ambush Bug, and 2x Mr. Freeze.
My local Walmart suddenly has an influx of Vampire Robin and the Ghosts of Krypton Page Punchers wave, but only Earth 2 Superman and Zod.

Yeah, we definitely have a lot of the West Batman, a lot of Vampire Shazam, a lot of Max Mercury. Got in a case of the Question wave that mostly sold through, but someone snagged the Question before I got there.
@ninjak Went to a Wally near by my house last night, and they had fully stocked the Earth 2 Superman & Ghost Zod, along with their regular peg-warming Vampire Shazams. Sigh...
Stopped in at a GamesStop for the first time in awhile hoping to luck into a Platinum Green Lantern Arkiss... and I might have been close, but no cigar. They did have a Platinum Aquaman from the Plastic Man wave as well as the Platinum Huntress... but alas, no GL.
At the Target next door they did have the Platinum Bullseye Batman hanging next to Parallax Sinestro.
I went to a few Targets closer to work today and found Manhunter & Dr. Tyme. I stopped at the Gamestop next to Target and they had Huntress & Digital Joker.
Also, Walmarts in my area have full pegs of Page Punchers Superman, Earth 2 Superman, Brainiac & Zod and the Animated Batman wave with Croc.
I don't collect the animated figures but I did see a platinum Commissioner Gordon, I guess he has a lighter trench coat.
Man, I opened up Pandoras Box with this line recently. From the start of this line until mid 2023 I collected most of the comic related figures. But then I just narrowed it down to Batman characters only.
Well, as I posted a couple weeks ago, I bought a few non-Batman figures here and there like Green Arrow, Simon Baz, and Wal-Mart Gold Label Hal Jordon. From there, I've just been playing catch up on so many characters I missed from Mid 2023 to now lol.
I recently picked up Cyborg and The Atom, then today I picked up or ordered Darkseid, Captain Atom, Commander Steel, Black Lightning, Captain Boomerang, Sinestro, and Firestorm.
I guess I just like DC too much to only do Batman.
I have so many DC lines from various companies, that I tried not to go crazy with another line. But these McFarlane figures just look to good.
In honor of the new Batgirl comic -- which is excellent, a great combination of understated character work and nimble action scenes that feels like it fully understands how to build a comic around the character -- I picked up the Cass Cain figure online. Love her, although I wish she came with a bunch of hands for different martial arts strikes and forms.
UGH! I am a sucker for wired capes. I sold my original AC 1000 Superman a year or so ago. Saw the Gold Label one in Walmart at lunch time today and rebought him. The wired capes just make them so much more fun.
