Pre-order for Christopher Reeves' Superman figure at McFarlane Toy Store just worked for me (10-18-2024 at 3:25pm eastern). Now it's sold out again, but might want to keep checking back if you want this figure.
Barnabas Collins
He's on Best Buy right now, $6 shipping if you don't have a BB account.
I canceled my pre-order for the Doomsday/Superman set and my purchase for the Platinum Jonah Hex and General. I don't see the value in the D/S set and I have the Gold Label Hex which is good enough. What McFarlane failed to understand everyone wanted a new head sculpt for this Superman. If he had did that and maybe included a 2nd head sculpt with heat vision eyes at the least, probably be looking at instant sell outs.
Big news from the McFarlane panel: Platinums now coming in Platinum (recolors), Red (new characters that "nobody cares about" so it's the only way to make them, always in-store only), and Gold Platinum - will contain pieces of costume or some such.
Jeebus.

Sounds dumb!
As for the figures and what to expect:
Orion and Wildcat - Red/Blue Supes reuse
Aqualad/Tempest - new or Kaldur Aqualad reuse
Fleischer Superman - 1k AC reuse
Task Force Aquaman - Aquaman reuse
Superman - honestly not sure, looked like Infected but doesn't have sculpted cuffs. So either new or maybe the Crisis wave body
Flash - BB reuse
Batman - Knightfall reuse
Joker and Murray - possibly all new
King Kong Bats - Hush
GeForce - Speeding Bullets/Commander Steel reuse
Hopefully I'll be able to buy Wildcat easily, would be cool to get Orion as well. That's about it, really. The King Kong looks really cool, though.

As if the platinum gimmick couldn't get any worse!
The big thing here was 90's accurate Wally West Flash in that Darkseid BAF wave.....BUT, according to TNI this is a "16-bit game" wave? So that funky pixelation isn't a camera effect but the actual deco of the figure? Who asked for this???
Yay for Jade at least.
Red Platinum is the worst idea.
Pros: Todd makes more money on his website and selling to smaller e-tailers
Cons: Everything else
Is the talk show set that comes with Joker and Murray plastic or cardboard?
If it’s plastic I can see a lot of funny photos coming from having a 1:10 scale talk show set, maybe I’ll put ALF behind the desk! He had a talk show once!
Geo-Force!!! He's the modern look (from the Robin series), but I'll take him! This is only the second time he's gotten a figure, so this is huge news for me. The odds are pretty safe these guys get variants, right? I'm really, really hoping for a green/yellow costume, as it's my most wanted figure since childhood. I've got my hopes up really high for this one!
Classic Geoforce is undoubtedly the plat.
Plenty of cool reveals but what’s going to be a chase and what’s going to be easy to purchase?

No one. The team that manages this line is the worst. I don’t know why they so regularly screw up, like they dont see the issues after years. I stopped posting in this topic for a bit because I had nothing nice to say, but this is seriously insulting.
Why do they keep rereleasing the AC1000 Superman without better arms? Why do they keep making the wrists the same color as the shirt? That was a complaint since basically day 1 of this line. Why aren't they reusing the Crisis Superman body for that old school Supes?
For all the praise McF got for not doing a lot of reuse early in the line, practically everything is reuse now (and bad reuse in a lot of cases). It’s like every figure is designed to only look good on the third try, or once you get other figures to do part swaps.
Anyway, I’m cautiously optimistic for Powergirl, Jade, and Guy Gardner. Everything else is an easy pass. I cant comprehend why they would opt to shit the bed so hard on the Task Force wave.
I will give them props and say with Alan Scott, Jay Garrick, Mr. Terrific, Citizen Steel and now Power Girl and Wildcat, we’re a good ways into a modern JSA lineup.
I noticed that we didn't see anything about a Norm breyfogle batman at the panel? Think there's a chance that someone must have gotten it confused with the Justice League: Total Heroes video game version?
I was so happy to see Geo Force too. I always wanted him in Mattels DC Classics line, but we never got him. So, I'm happy to get him now.
Other than that, I was hoping to see some more Batman Villains. I was hoping to see the rumored Silver Age Two Face and Classic Scarecrow.
I do want to get that Platinum Edition of the Silver Age Joker.
@supercamel-1982 Yeah, the DCD version is good, but limited in articulation and not quite in his classic look. This one is another modern take, but the variant could be incredible. In either case, I'm happy to have this one, and I really like the magnetic face plates.
