@blackcomicnerd if we end up getting either of the Burton Batsuits you just know they'll come with poseable cloth capes this time.

Anyone know what time the preorder for the new Joker / Hybrid Robin goes up tomorrow / Sept 12th?  Did we ever hear whether it's a wide release, Amazon / Walmart exclusive, or what the platinums are if there are any?

If we get Nicholson Joker, it will be a miracle. Been too long and too few companies have made him. And if there's no Nicholson, there's no 89 wave. Never say never, but I will be shocked if it happens.

I can see a Returns wave: Batman, Catwoman, Penguin, & Shreck seems like an obvious lineup. Not sure on the BAF. Would be fun for everyone to come with a different little penguin commando, so you can pose a penguin army around Penguin proper if you complete the wave.

Dang, Robin looks nice but after seeing his trading card/box art, I want that instead lol.  It's very much a male fashion model doll-style anatomy but it's fun.  Maybe it's just the colors of his suit but the knightfall batman body isn't doing it for me here.  his colors are flashy but his body sculpt is modest.  more McF figures could benefit from V-shape superhero proportions similar to the captain carrot figure.

The Returns suit should definitely get made but you're going to see the 89 suit as a single release at least once.  In a perfect world Todd goes back to the drawing board on this.  I understand the difficulty for toy companies on this.  They WANT to give head articulation, but you just can't do that AND be accurate at the same time.  Keaton couldn't move his head.  So the head/neck/cowl all need to be one piece.  Ideally there wouldn't even be an ab crunch, just a ball joint at the waist, but I'm not expecting that level of retooling.

McFarlane gave us the best Keaton body of any brand IMO…but it’s insane how much better the figure looks with the Mezco or NECA head swapped. I can deal with the ab crunch but that figure really needs a new head/neck. The Flash figure that has the Returns torso actually uses a combined head/neck piece much like Hush Batman.

Separately, was really happy to grab that Joker today. It’s nice to get a figure and feel like I don’t need another version. That’s the Joker I’ve been waiting for. Time to go drop off a few old Jokers at the comic store…

I knew Joker was going to go fast.  I forgot about it.  I missed it.

He's still available at Gamestop.

Thanks.  My penny-pinching ways are holding out for amazon (free shipping) or BBTS (cheapest shipping).

I had tried to quit McFarlane DC figures, but I had to get this Joker figure today and that Earth 2 Robin was just too cool to pass up either.  So, I pre ordered both.  Then after I did that, I pre ordered Huntress as well since I hadn't pre ordered her yet.  It's hard not to buy this Batman stuff.

@kryptonian I went with gamestop preorder anyway.  Now I can just forget about it.

@yojoebro82 I'm going to wait until these arrive at retail. I want to see the Platinum & how that Flash Speed Force looks like.

I missed it, is there for sure a platinum?  Any clues on what it looks like?

Agreed.  No need to deprive oneself of awesome looking Batman figures.  I even went ahead and pre ordered the Amazon Court of Owls set.  I had recently cut out or cut back on a few modern lines, but I don't know why I did McFarlane Batman stuff.  It's just too tempting.

I tried to resist, but it's something I like too much to pass up on.  I tried telling myself since I have so many other DC/Batman toys, I don't need to do these.  But they are so freakin' good.

I'm liking these wired capes a lot.  Not my favorite cape material, but for me, it's adding so much more to these lowest-possible-price-point figures. I just watched a reviewer call it "Barbie dress material", and yes, it is.  But those dresses go on some pretty highly collectible Barbie dolls so who am I to say it's not good enough for my dolls?  Again, not perfect, but I'm getting some pretty good energy with these poses thanks to them.

Also, I did a thing with my single release Batman Forever and painted the cowl, gloves, and boots that were purposely painted inaccurately by Todd.  Happy with the color match.
