I agree, the face is bothering me. Also, is it just me or does it feel like everything is going to be a "collector's edition" sooner rather than later?

At this point, they might as well be. All these cases with brick-and-mortar-only figures seem to be retailer specific.
The Platinums are now just physical-store only exclusives. Which is is a terrible business model in the year 2024. Forcing me into a Walmart doesn't trick me into buying milk on the way out. It just makes me angry at McFarlane. Make everything available for pre-order or go back to 1998.

And there’s also folks like me that live in big cities like NYC that either don’t have certain retailers at all like Walmart or only have small versions of Targets that don’t carry action figures really, so all these are basically eBay exclusives.
Got absolutely bamboozled at Target. Asked the nice stocking lady to scan my Cyborg Superman barcode. Her scanner said there was 5 in the back. She only spoke to me in Spanish so doesn't seem she was able to communicate in English, but could understand what I was saying when I requested to bring them all out. She said tres, so only able to bring 3 out. Waited for 5 minutes. She finally emerges from the back with 3. I'm like...let one be a Platinum. She hands them to me and it's, 2 Ambush Bugs & a Mr. Freeze. 🤣 😉 🤣 😆 Thanked her & decided not to pursue it further.
Also on rack, Platinum Braniac again for the 5th time I've found him + Val-Zod Platinum.
Scored a platinum Penguin at a local Target this morning. Was happy to nab him as I prefer this look over the black suit.

Target distribution is wild. Recent reports of multiple Platinum Penguins, Blackfires & Boomerangs hitting random stores. I know the stores closest to me never got them. So that means I'll probably see them there soon. 🤔
When I saw that case at Target it was 1 regular/1 platinum each of Boomer, Pengy, and Starfire.
Saw 3 figures of Fire and 5 of Metallo at another Target today.
At nearest Target, like on cue, saw 2 Platinum Boomerangs, 1 Plat Penguin & 2 Darkseids.
Then saw Sgt. Rock, Connor Kent, Manga Batman at another Target.
Nearest Gamestop supposedly should of had 2 Cyborg Supermans according to their site, but they said they had 3...all reserved for preorders.
Amazon delayed my Cyborg Superman until next weekend.
Been taking a break from this line but Abin Sur, Tomar Re, and Huntress have pulled my interest back in. Of course I'm actually tabling at a comic con on Friday so I'll probably miss out on Huntress, but I'll try from my phone if it's quiet.
This line is increasingly frustrating to collect. The distribution is hit and miss in my part of the world, and the figures I really want I rarely find on the shelf.

This is the correct color scheme in my opinion. Preordered the figure today. Hopefully I get this blue version.
Oh yeah also I have something nice to say for once. As much as I criticize the company for a lot of their figures, the vehicles are pretty great especially for the price point. So many available so quickly and relatively cheap.
