I'm at Target almost daily for one grocery item or. another.
McFarlane: BvS Batman
Marvel Legends: Empty pegs
That's exactly what I've seen all summer.

cmdstore has Vampire SHAZAM and Max Mercury in stock so I jumped. I personally only go to the stores now for necessities. I hardly venture into the toys aisles anymore and I haven't been in Target for about 2 months.
I had never bought anything from CMD store before but went ahead and ordered DCvV Shazam!, Max Mercury, both versions of Clock King, Ragman, Sgt Rock and the Deluxe Phoenix all from them today since all were in stock. They estimate that I should have them in hand one week from tomorrow (Iowa).
I visit Gamestop, Target and Walmart all weekly and I rarely find anything there to purchase. I used to make weekly runs to all of Ross, Big Lots, Five Below, TJ Maxx and Best Buy as well but I've basically given up on all of those places. I'd say 99% of my buying is online at this point.
I found 2 cases of the new McFarlane Platinums at the West Milwaukee Walmart. One case was the Batman/Superman Fusion Wave….didn’t get any. Other case had 2 Lucius Fox Platinums, 1 Ben Affleck Platinum and 2 non Platinum Adam West. Case was missing a figure but it looked untouched.
I bought 1 Lucius Fox, 1 Adam West and Ben Affleck Plat.

Third...o?
Honestly can't understand why Hasbro sends so little product to retail anymore - one customer who wants a whole wave can basically wipe out the entire inventory a store is ever going to get. It's a terrible business model and makes no sense.
@schizm Honestly, I think it's more about the stores not ordering much product anymore after getting stuck with so much of it and having to clearance it out or sell excess stock to places like Ollies, Ross, etc.
I've completely given up on brick and mortar retail for this hobby at this point. I know that if I want something that I've got to pre-order it online.

Milwaukee, you say?
Maybe that means the Walmarts in Michigan that still carry the line will have them soon.
Yes, Milwaukee
And now that I think about it, maybe somebody did grab the Batman Beyond Platinum out of what I thought at the time was a mistake 5 figure case. It had to be the missing figure because I assume each case has 2 Adam West and lucky if 1 is the Platinum. I think the breakdown is……
2 Lucius Fox Platinums
2 Adam West with a chance of Platinum
1 Ben Affleck Batman Chase
1 Batman Beyond Chase
That case pack might be difficult to track down.
- x2 Dick Grayson Batman
- x2 Fusion Batman with 1 Platinum
- x1 Bullseye Batman Platinum
- x1 Hugo Strange Platinum
Are these Walmart exclusives? Haven’t heard/seen them showing up anywhere else yet.
At this point, they might as well be. All these cases with brick-and-mortar-only figures seem to be retailer specific.
The Platinums are now just physical-store only exclusives. Which is is a terrible business model in the year 2024. Forcing me into a Walmart doesn't trick me into buying milk on the way out. It just makes me angry at McFarlane. Make everything available for pre-order or go back to 1998.
@casimir I was thinking the same thing. Who do they think they’re fooling with the B&M exclusivity? I walk straight back to toys and leave.
Tomar Re and Abin Sur look good!

That they do! Hoping to get two: one standard and one platinum.

Is the Batman Beyond the re-release DC Direct Animated figure?
@ninjak Toysnowman still has Sportsmaster available. I hadn't ever purchased from them before but they were recommended by @jayjonah and I ordered one and it's en route. They're a Canadian store but I paid less than $40 for the figure and shipping to Iowa. He's supposed to be here in a couple of days. They're sold out of the Manhunter robot, though.

They also have the DCvV Shazam, New 52 Reverse Flash and SDCC exlusive Centennial Park Tribute Gold Superman Statue in stock, for those looking for those.
Thanks for the info, Reno. Much appreciated.
I actually didn't see your response until this morning, and this weekend I came up with another idea. I picked up a Dark Detective Batman (the one without the jacket) on eBay for under $15 shipped. I am going to remove the bat symbol from the chest and I have a extra head with a hockey mask that I think will fit nicely on that body. I think it will make a decent Sportsmaster, since that figure is 90% Dark Detective reuse anyway. The only difference is the forearms and the head (which I already have covered). I also have several baseball bats, hockey sticks and other sports related accessories I can give him. I may paint the chest plate purple, or I may just leave it. Sportsmaster doesn't really have a super iconic look anyway, aside from the hockey mask and the sports gear. So I'll probably just leave it with the head swap only. I'll post pics with results once I have it done.
I don't care about Tomar and Abin - have figures of those I like already... but Arkkiss Chummuck and Green Man - those two I'll be clamoring for.
