Argh. I ordered 2 of those Grayson Batman figures to use one for a custom. Here’s to hoping they sneak a platinum into my order…could care less for the black/grey version. Navy/grey is the accurate suit for him.
I've never had too much of a problem with the Platinums before now, because they are usually just repaints of a standard release. But these latest ones have no base figure attached to them. I'm especially irritated that Sportsmaster is a solo Platinum release with no way to acquire him other than by sheer luck. What a stupid decision. He is a fairly popular villain that has never been released in the line, so a lot of people want him. Myself included. But so far my attempts to find one have been extremely frustrating.
To make matters worse, last week my closest GameStop suddenly took down all of their figures from the wall and replaced them with Pokemon stuff. I asked one of the associates when the figures would be put back out and he said probably never, and they will likely send all of their stock to other stores. And he said he couldn't even let me check out what they had in the back because there's too many boxes to go through. 😆
So a couple of days ago I went by my next closest GameStop, (which is in a mall about 20 minutes away), and they had quite a few DC figures, including Cyborg Superman, Green Arrow, Atom, and Sgt. Rock, but no Sportsmaster. So I asked someone if they might be getting him in, and the guy said they got some a couple of weeks ago but sold out almost immediately. So, I guess that’s that. I have no idea where else to look for him.
Gee, if only I could have pre-ordered Sportsmaster online somewhere… Oh well, I guess Todd doesn’t want my money.
@kryptonian well dang now that you mention it, that DOES look silly! I wonder if you cut Batman's ears off his cowl, would he bleed? XD luckily that's an easy fix with probably just acetone, maybe black paint, but woof, what a goofy design

They're a Canadian store but I paid less than $40 for the figure and shipping to Iowa. He's supposed to be here in a couple of days. They're sold out of the Manhunter robot, though.

cmdstore has Vampire SHAZAM and Max Mercury in stock so I jumped. I personally only go to the stores now for necessities. I hardly venture into the toys aisles anymore and I haven't been in Target for about 2 months.
Finally got around to opening up Rebirth TD Robin- exceptional. Great scale, great sculpt, fantastic wired cape with tons of accessory hands. And …….not a collector label price point in sight. Way to go TMcF!

I just opened him yesterday as well. Instantly my favorite Robin now. The artistic spunky face is excellent. Only thing missing is his bow staff.

You're a smart man. Targets have been ultra barren (around here). Waste of time. I have a Target about a mile away that I sometimes go when on a morning run. It is better to just be able to secure the ones you want, even if paying a bit more.
