Has McFarlane ever mentioned Watchmen figures?
Has McFarlane ever mentioned Watchmen figures?
No but it is a grim, gritty, and edgy tale. Figures WILL be coming.
@pg-superfan Thanks. I haven't seen her at my local Targets but that gives me something to keep an eye out for. Been watching online and have only seen her with resellers for some reason so far, and usually I have no trouble finding McFarlane figures.
Bat Santa (Blue Variant) (Gold Label)
Bat Santa (Red Variant) (Gold Label)Yes....we have reached that point........
If I had to speculate, the blue one is probably Walmart and the red one is probably Target. I pulled this from international retailer listings where they carry everything.
Any idea what on the figure is red, and what is blue? I can see blue meaning the blue-and-gray outfit, but what would red be in that event?
I was looking at that list like... yay it's all skippable... waitaminute... Captain Carrot????? Damnit, Todd always finds a way to get me to buy something from him.
Mostly figures I'm skipping, although I could see buying a Bat-Santa on a whim to go with my Bat-tree. (I have over 200 Batman ornaments that I put up every year in my office.)
If the Green Lantern Batman is from the original Elseworlds (or the revised Bat-Lantern version), that's a definite buy. If it's once again the one-panel Batman Green Lantern from the 2000s, it's a pass.
I’m in for Bat Santa and the good Captain Carrot-Classic Wondy but I do not need another Lobo…… But then again, I bet the space hog is epic
I have to see Bat Santa before I decide... but it's possible I pick one up for my small Christmas figure display
Here's Wonder Woman from the Cyborg BAF finally. Pre-order from Target September 19th. https://twitter.com/mcfarlanetoys/status/1702034761626095821

The regen suit Superman being in the collectors edition line is strange. This line has already been beat up on for charging $30 and giving us reused bucks and not enough accessories to justify the price (all complaints valid, in my opinion), and with DC not allowing guns to be packaged then I'm really curious how this figure will meet that $30 pricetag.
Unless he comes with multiple heads, hands, and some flight boot effects, I just don't see it. And somehow I just don't see it coming with even that much.

I'm very eager to see what his Lobo bike will look like. If it's any good chances are I will get it for my DCUC Lobo who is the size of a McFarlane figure anyway.

Finally! I was wondering when they'd get around to announcing this. I have no interest in the Flashpoint WW figure itself but have been waiting patiently for the Cybrog CTB head. Right now I've got a spare John Stewart head on there as a placeholder and it looks ridiculous.
Although I certainly enjoyed the FlashPoint storyline that launched the New 52, most of those looks and costumes are of no interest to me for my collection. They were too short lived. The Flash figure from this specific McFarlane wave was awesome, though. The Superman figure sucked and the screaming head sculpt on the Aquaman was absolutely absurd. I really like the Cyborg figure so far, but the head sculpt could easily make or break the whole thing.
Well, so far, I've ordered and returned 7 Collector's Edition Superman figures from two retailers (trying to space it out between retailers so as not to get blacklisted from returning stuff) and zero Platinum chases.
Either it's pretty damned rare or other people did the same thing before I did.
I assumed with these figures being $10 more and every one having a chase that they'd be around 1:3. It's especially not fun if they're rare.

I honestly don't know, but I'm under the impression that they're far rarer than 1:3. McFarlane had to use a third party in order to fairly distribute their Platinums, so I'm under the impression that they're extremely limited - probably like only a few thousand copies. They probably vary by release, but it would be a good question for McF customer service. I know that I've entered several of the drawings with that 3rd party (EQL?) and only "won" one right to purchase (Dread Lantern). I personally have never seen a platinum chase in the wild outside of the all gray artists proofs that they did early on in the line and I'm at retail multiple times per week.
