As with anything McFarlane I can’t make too many judgements until I see these in person, but on its face, I’m a bit bummed by the list. Not because of the character selection, but I’ve already missed multiple classics that sold out too quick, and I’m not going to pay $70-$80 for an era specific Wonder Woman to fit with these figures, and I’m not sure where Earth 2 Robin fits without a JSA or crisis figures.
Excited for Armored Bats and Knightmare Bats, personally. I just sold off my Snyder Cut figures (except Batman, so as to keep the live-action Batman suits). Really hoping Armored Bats comes with the Kryptonite spear, but I'm sure it'll just be some fists. But especially since Knightmare Bats undoubtedly won't be coming with his gun, give us some love elsewhere.
Can confirm that those listings are all good, and are slated for the releases between September and November.Alot that excites me with it so I'm in for all the Batmen, a BvS Doomsday too! Though do wish we might have seen a sly addition of Doom Patrol or Creature Commandos or heck even Watchmen!
But what that list also does is add to what seems to be an insanely growing list of stuff we've been told is coming out within the next 6months. Ranging from Ragman, Agent Liberty and Clock King to now these. Either we're about to see alot more MTS exclusive waves (the JLTF wave is most likely that I've been told from a few buyers, also Darkseid as the BAF is only speculation, no one seems to actually know if its him or Despero), Todd is about to release a metric fuckton of stuff in the last half of the year, OR some of these have been pushed back.
There is also the new direction of brick and mortar exclusive Chases that seem to be something they're running with. Clearly these started with the latest drops (Plat Azrael, Supes, PPs) which is why nothing has been put on EQL for them. Clearly its a new incentive for stores to continue to carry the line, just have to hope they get a bit easier to find/buy. But I fear the recent huge rise I've seen in scalpers and blatant price gouging is only the beginning.
My main concern is the retail chase figures. This stuff is what my collecting is all about. Shining Knight, Question, Earth 2 Robin, etc. If I can’t find this stuff, or be able to order it somewhere online, I might as well quit now.
Amazon delivered a first appearance Batman in a beat up opened box, foot rattling around in the package. The stand was rattling in the back the card was too. So clearly they sent me a used one. So I figured, what the hell? Let's give it a test drive to see if I actually want a replacement.
I'm sending it back and cancelled the rest of my DCM pre-orders. I think I'm just done with the line. It's more frustrating than fun and satisfying.
Can anyone help me out, was there a leaked list of new Page Punchers? It's my favorite part of McFarlane's output and I think I saw another Batman wave....but can't find it. Then saw a couple figures like Deathstroke. Looking forward to seeing it if it's real. There were a lot of listings recently.
@ditko nothing on PP, these seem very much to be getting replaced by the Figital and CE waves, or atleast the regularity has drastically dropped.
Personally love the PP waves too, I feel its some of Todd's best design work but the costs of production must be mad.
The listings before was a fake, but I'd wager the next wave is either GL based or Batman. There is a Deathstroke and Robin coming with comics soon though but they seem based on storylines over original takes.
I’d hate for Page Punchers to go away entirely. Some of the best figures in the line have come from those waves. PP Brainiac is an absolute masterpiece, one of the coolest action figures I have ever owned.
I went to Macys and got lucky and they had the Plastic Man wave, Red Superman, but I prefer Blue. And the Platinum Edition Dark Knight Batman with the Unmasked Batman and Selina Kyle.

Oh man ok good to know. I don't think I recall fake listings before, always interesting. I bet "Rebirth Deathstroke" is just a repack with comic, but that character is perfect for Todd's treatment in Page Punchers. I thought maybe a new 52 Slade and the rumored new 52 Batman were moved to Page Punchers and that would be awesome.
On the other hand I agree Green Lantern would be amazing in Page Punchers. We'll see. I would also gladly take a Batman wave that was somewhat more normal than the Barbarian wave. Bermejo Batman is debatably my favorite Batman figure period. Shame they never did a followup wave, but that's Todd for you. Last Summer was Wave 4 and Wave 5 is just hitting so I guess we won't see a new wave until ....next summer. Actually not bummed because there is just so much good product from so many different IPs and companies right now anyway.
The back up plan is the BvS two pack with Doomsday but I was never. a fan of that Doomsday look and history shows that Superman will likely come with a super contorted, constipation facial expression.
I'm also interested to see what the BvS Wonder Woman looks like. Both of Todd's Gal Gadot Wonder Womans had their faults, maybe the third time's the charm, or maybe the new one is off in its own unique way.
I suspect the 2-pack will feature heat vision eyes. Platinum Superman could be a re-release of Justice League Superman with fabric cape & possibly improved head sculpt. I already upgraded my Superman with a custom Henry Cavill head. Also painted the black suit to a brighter blue. That Doomsday turd was terrible with his multi-stage indestructible orgasm morphs.
Wonder Woman most likely just a darker repaint of the recent Shazam release. At least come with her sword & shield.
